Trouble with my 360 and ipod

ok, i've been trying to connect my ipod to my 360 but for some reason the 360 doesn't recognize that the ipod is connected. I heard something about an update for the 360 to play stuff off of ipods and i managed to find and download it but it still won't connect. I'm using the same cord to connect my ipod to my computer which works fine and i have done this before on my friend's 360. Also, the xbox is very new, i bought it on the 6th. Any help would be great!

    I had a similar issue. Try resetting your iPod to factory settings and pray. It's pretty spotty, I guess the newer iPod firmware has messed up the integration. Mine (iPod 5G 30gb) worked after installing an older version of iTunes (can't remember which version) and restoring factory settings.
