Is there some way to make gmail display inbox, sent box, etc. the standard displayed email way? I just want a list of emails I've sent sorted by date, newest to oldest. This tabbed shit is not working for me and I'd like it to go away.

Just hit sent mail and hit the oldest/newest button? Unless there's somekind of new layout I don't know about I'm afraid I don't understand the problem >_>

Have you ever considered a client such as Thunderbird or Outlook or some such ting?

Clicking 'Sent Mail' does that for me just as you describe. If you're talking about the nested 'conversation view' that you see when you open an email, it's possible to turn that off in the options.

However, as Tomato says, grab a POP3 client and configure it to work with GMail. Sorted.

I've looked but couldn't find that option. Can you point me to where that is?

That won't work for me for a host of reasons, unfortunately.

Huh. Looks like they either removed that option or it never existed.

I suppose you can hit 'Expand all' on the right, though?
