the TimeSplitters thread of awesome

edited October 2008 in Social Entropy++
There was the first game for the Playstation 2

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TimeSplitters

which was okay for the time with a cool map editor and whatnot

then there was the game that made me love my gamecube all over again (but it came out for ps2 and xbox too)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TimeSplitters_2

which kinda had a story and the multiplayer was awesome and was the inspiration behind my name

the lastest is

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TimeSplitters:_Future_Perfect

which had a great story line but kinda lame multiplayer, which always made me wonder if there was some way to combine this game witht the previous one and make the greatest game ever made

and now there will be a fourth one:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TimeSplitters_4

so people, who else loves this series

    Absolutely wonderful games.

I really liked playing with fire in TS2! Seeing a guy set on fire for the first time was like "Whoa these fire effects are fantastisch!"

    ts:fp was far too easy

ts2 on hard mode made you want to punch the wall
ts:fp on hard was a leisurely stroll through the park

I managed to pass it! I think I punched my couch a lot of times in the process though.

But I could never pass Space Station on hard. Those tentacle-faced aliens would tear me to shreds every time.

these games are susceptible to the ol' ostrich technique
i've beaten some of the harder sections of levels just by closing my eyes and running through the middle of a room yelling "IF I CAN'T SEE YOU, YOU CAN'T SEE ME"

I always hated it when bots could do somersaults and shit when i cant. One time i had duck mandrake coming right at me (but not firing for some reason) so i took out the rocket launcher and shot one straight at his chest. He fucking slides under the rocket, gets right in front of me, and headshots me with a revolver
