    maybe that's the very thing that makes him seem artificial to me.

    if so

    sorry mr joe biden

    but you still shouldn't have voted for the patriot act.

    (I know you can't vote against something called the patriot act but jeez man)

    Sure you can. Kucinich did. Ron Paul did. People consider them kooks, but they were right about doing so. Things like the PATRIOT Act are exactly what Ben Franklin so adamantly spoke about when he said, "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

    I know

    I loved when someone asked Kucinich how he could vote against the patriot act and he replied "Because I read it"

    I'd vote for Kucinich in a heartbeat. That his politics and mine (mostly) match up aside, he is that rarest of things, a principled and honest politician.

    A ginger as MY first lady?

    I don't THINK so.

    Go traipse around in a field you Irish fairy girl, and eat a fucking hamburger while you're at it.

    Seriously just based on their physical makeup I think I'm seeing a bad D&D fan fiction when I see them.

    Fun Kucinich Fact: With a net worth of between $2,000 and $32,000, Kucinich is one of Congress's least wealthy members. - source

    I just saw this on my local paper's website and thought it was pretty cool. It's a word cloud of things said in the VP debate. For example, McCain's name was mentioned more times by Biden than Palin, same with Barack Obam. Palin's most repeated words? "Energy", "McCain", and "people".

    Check it out!

    Ok, mavericks has 2 references, still. I thought I heard a lot more from her. It might have been Biden mentioning it 9 times in one answer though :)

    Yeah, that is what happened. Palin said it in response to 4 different questions, twice on 2 questions. Biden said all of his in one response.I got it switched up in my other post (I deleted it cos it's easier to start over than edit it :p )

    There's some other things. Biden said "god" 5 times to Palin's 2. But I guess it sticks out more with Palin because of her little gaff about rewards in heaven. Also, I found a transcript to compare the word cloud against.

    Okay, I did some more analysis of Palin and Biden's speech. Unfortunately, the data cloud I linked earlier doesn't count common words such as "also", "and", etc, etc. I know Palin was throwing run-on sentences out like crazy, so I wanted to check and see how many times she used the words "also" and "and".

    Using the same IBM Many Eyes site that the original data cloud used, I did a Wordle visualization (a true word cloud) of the VP data available.

    Here's a word cloud for Palin.
    Here's a word cloud for Biden.

    The problem is, it just shows the most frequented words and doesn't tell you how many times it appeared. If you look at Palin's word cloud, "also" is one of the largest words on there. Running the speeches into Open Office's Writer program and using the Find/Replace feature I counted some words that the VP Data Cloud omitted.

    number of times Sarah Palin said:
    also = 48
    and = 325
    again = 23
    number of times Joe Biden said:
    also = 3
    and = 186
    again = 9

    Kind of superficial, yes, but still rather interesting. Palin said either "and" or "also" a total of 373 times (that's probably way more than enough to cause Jerry Holkins' head to explode) compared to Biden's 189.

    Anyways, thought someone might think this somewhat useful. Also, I just really also had to also find out also how many times she also said "also".

    Yeah . . . what's that figure really a measure of? I find it hard to believe Kucinich doesn't even allow himself a home or a car.

    Hell, if that's the case, BRB, stealin' Kucinich's girl.

    It's sort of funny, because if I were going to like a game now would be the time. A couple weeks away from daily gaming has made me crave and scrape for electronic entertainment. I tried to keep up with news when I'd make my updates, what game news there was at least - it was like gazing into a beautiful world suspended in a snowglobe. When I left, my passions were held by Raven Shield and Rise of Nations, each trying to crowd the other out and claim supremacy. Since I've been back, I've played only one game - Carcassone. You might already be familiar with the board game, but it is clear after a day or so of playing it that the computer is its natural home. It turns out that I met the product manager for the game years ago at E3, he comes over from Germany, and when I found out in a Munich sushi bar - over beer number 6 - that this was one of his projects, I began to approximate dancing. It was really only my left pinky that committed itself to the activity. In any case, he was able to scam me a copy and I've been playing it a lot.

    I do apologize for having been gone so long. I did try to ameliorate this fact somewhat by posting each update, but I know that it is not exactly the same. I have a conception of you that I write to when I sit down to do these, it's a strange amalgamation of all the mail and forum posts I've read, plus my own insecurity and a B-Movie monster, maybe Mothra. So when I when I compose these, I always ask myself - would a furious, considerate, enthusiastic, violent moth appreciate it? I think you know what I'm getting at. I hope my absence has not been too much of an inconvenience.

    Brenna is constantly stealing my Hiptop to put her own stupid dayplanner shit in there, navigating her complex life of Yoga and Millinery with my phone. I told her that she could have the color one when it came out, and this has appeased her for about four months, but she didn't understand that "When the color Hiptop comes out" is the same as telling a child "When pigs fly" or something to that effect. It may sound superficially as though I were acquiescing, when in fact I was denying her in the most absolute way possible. It's out now, of course. There's a lesson to be learned here, about money, or girls, but learning lessons has never really been my thing.

    (CW)TB out.

    if i never hear your name again
    it's all the same to me
