    Also that X-prize type thing for battery tech, but it's conditional on somebody actually succeeding, after all. The math on the health care proposal is a bit foggy. He has proposed cutting some entitlement benefits (medicare/medicaid) to help pay for any of its expenses, though. Really his biggest expenses are the 2 conflicts, potentially starting a 3rd, and tax cuts.

    I missed the first debate. I remember hearing on the radio a couple weeks ago that McCain wouldn't do any debates this year unless very specific rules were in place.

    I guess he gets his way. This format is going to be annoying as hell. Maybe something good can be salvaged from it. Was the first debate's format like this one?

    Politicians tend to have shitty taste. Just look at most of their suits, graphic design (websites and such), and interior decor. Obama is beyond the exception to the rule. On average you're going to look like a turd if you're a politician. The fact that his shit actually looks good is exceptional.
