360 problems, HELP!

Okay, so a few days ago, my 360 stopped connecting to Xbox Live. My router is in perfect working order, my computer connects to a surfs the internet the ease, so I don't know what the problem is. Though, I have a Silver account, so this issue does not prevent me from playing games on my own, so I can deal.

I fired up the 360 tonight, and all of a sudden it's refusing to read any of my discs. Every time I put in a game, it says "Unplayable Disc", yet the discs are nearly spotless. However, the menu, blades, and profile sign in are all working fine, and it's not red ring of death'ing...so I don't know what the deal is.

Someone please appear with a magical solution that does not result in my 360 being completely fucked. I still have to get through the meat of Homecoming, Force Unleashed, and Web of Shadows. Not to mention I'm about an hour and a half away from beating BioShock.

HELP!

EDIT: Just got World Tour, also. Motherfuck.

My XBox 360 has had problems reading disks too recently. I read somewhere online that it might be because of lint on the scanner, or the XBox itself needs to be dusted. You can buy one of those scanner cleaning disks that you pop in there and it brushes it or something.. I'm not sure, I haven't tried. I would love a solution too, if anyone else has had this problem as well.

I must say though, I have a 2 year old.. so my XBox is probably a little more beaten up than OP's. :( lol.

EDIT: I don't have problems connecting to XBL.

Powered it down, unplugged and replugged the AC adapter, went over the disc tray and fans with a can of compressed air. Seems to have done the trick -working fine now.

    SOLVED.

Correction, system works fine, but I still cannot connect to XBL, which is keeping me from downloading the Mirror's Edge demo.

    FUCK!

Run the Xbox Live test, and see where the failure is exactly.

It fails at the DNS stage.

Also, system is not reading discs again. Son of a bitch.
