Fairly frequently I'll be visiting a webpage that begins to load, then stops, and I receive this error that closes the page:
If I am viewing multiple pages in my tab, this error closes all of them if I click on either
"Send Error Report" or
"Don't Send".
OS is WinXP
FireFox ver. 3.0.3
I think it may be related to my not having the latest version of Flash. But I play a lot of older PC games and I'm not keen on monkeying with the balance of my system. Past lessons have taught me that upgrading Flash related nonsense, just so I can see the latest ad crap, is not worth it.
Any help or directions on where to look towards solving this annoying error would be great!
Thank you!

Might also help to install something like process explorer to see if there are any child processes when this happens. First things first, though, the data in the error should help.
When I display the error code I get a very long list of data. Joy!
Below Module 1 there is Module 2. And below that is an incomprehensible mess of code, and then of course even more code. A veritable mountain of bits to ponder over!
And he said child processes, not child protection. A child process is a separate process spawned by the parent process, which in this case, would be Firefox.exe. Process Explorer would show Flash or anything else Firefox may have launched as a child. An error in a child process would cause the parent to crash.
And you should really just update Flash. There's no drawback to doing so. There is no possible way that having the newest version of Flash would conflict with any older computer game, period.
I would gladly post all of it, but you see how much there is to scroll through.
Argh, I was confusing Flash with DirectX, my apologies! Yes, I'll update flash!
Also, there is a predictable pattern to this error. It happens every time I browse a particular website. Some load fine, other websites do not. But the ones I have trouble with happen in a predictable manner.
I'm off to update my Flash player.
A big thank you to those who pointed me in the right direction! Thank you!
