So, I’m sure some of you SE++’ers have been to interesting and exotic locales. Hell, some of you probably live in places I’d consider interesting and exotic.
So, let’s talk about them.
My most recent trip was this summer, I went to Belize for a couple weeks with my extended family. It was pretty sweet, we bombed around on a boat and saw stuff like this:
Then spent a week checking out the land and seeing stuff like this:
I have never been further east or south than San Antonio TX, nor further west or north than Seattle. Pretty much my entire life is rooted completely in Vegas
One of these days I'll buy a hawaiian shirt, white shorts, a terrible hat and sunglasses and go play the Yurpeean tourist. Someday.
Been diving in Cozumel, Grand Cayman Is., and Hawaii
spent a couple of months in Europe years and years back and hit Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany
good times

in case people are still unaware I was born in the philippines and lived there for four years until my family moved to delaware. I've been to most of the states on both sides of the united states. I have also lived in japan and spain, and visited cambodia, tanzania, singapore, italy, ireland, england, belgium, germany, france and canada.

i went to france and i don't think i would go back
maybe if i just went straight to the countryside or to the louvre
For the U.S. I've been to Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania , New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, Ohio , Kentucky, Hawaii and Georgia.
Outside the U.S. I've been to Canada, Honduras, England, Germany, France, Romania, and I currently live in the Netherlands.
was born in the philippines, moved to korea for a couple years as a kid, moved back to the philippines, then moved to maryland, which was a pretty good move, good job dad. i've visited japan twice, which is always awesome, especially when you can stay with an aunt and don't need to pay for much. also visited singapore for vacation, but i was little, so I don't remember much. visited canada for college spring break one year with my roommates. went to mexico one time, for another college spring break. have been to guam and hawaii. also, been to all of the states on the east and west coast. i avoid states not touching any oceans because they're awful.
i think next summer, i'ma take a trip to colombia with a friend, get shown around and just relax, hopefully. or go ona cruise to like greenland or something

man that's so true about the interior of the country
it's just one big zone of mostly suck
I once started making plans to go overseas to the UK and do the tourist thing... stay a couple or three days in London, then same for Ireland, then Scotland, then probably just back to London and home from there or something like that. Pretty much just bus tours and walking around and stuff
It was going to be my present to myself for college graduation, but even though I had enough money for what little I'd had planned, I got scared out of it by how much I was spending
(edit) And now I don't think I'll ever save that much money again... boy not having a car payment/rent was nice

Assorted other Australian states. Singapore for a couple weeks. Last Christmas break went through Scotland (my dad's family, was really ace), England, Portugal, Spain, France, and a day in Monaco.
20+ hour flights are not fun when you are unable to sleep.

if i could travel back in time, i think one of the main things i would do would be to get on the orient express and ride it for days on end, conversing with spies and dangerous fellows.
also, after reading anthony bourdain's books, i really wanna go to vietnam and eat my weight on delicious foods

Let's see, I was born in Kansas, moved to Alabama, lived in Georgia for college and moved to California.
I studied abroad in Barcelona one summer, and during that time I went to Brussels, London, Madrid, Velencia, and Sevilla. I want to go back to Europe some time because there's still a ton to see - I didn't go to Germany at all, for instance.
i went to france and i don't think i would go back
maybe if i just went straight to the countryside or to the louvre
but paris was not that great in my experience
I've had good times in Brittany and Normandy but it wasn't because of the countryside, which is disappointingly flat and not green enough!
I think Greece is my favourite tourist destination; extraordinarily pretty and full of interesting sites.
I have also been to Italy, Czech Republic, Denmark (hellishly expensive), Canary Islands, Portugal and Belgium, mostly with my dad, who is pretty awesome at finding little local restaurants selling delicious food.
Most of my childhood holidays were spent roaming the UK as it was a) cheap and b) didn't involve flying, of course.
My parents want to emigrate to New Zealand and I am totally encouraging them to as I'd love to spend holidays there. One of my friends is in the process of emigrating there but I'd have to visit more often if family were there too. >.>

Oh man. Great film.
I did the last leg of the Inca Trail once. Took us four hours. Supposed to be the last hour of a run from Cuzco by one of their messengers.
We also did Wina Picchu, the big spire behind Machu Picchu.
