Gmail - mark all as read?

I have uhm 7786 unread messages in my gmail account. Is there some easy way to mark them all read? I'm accessing them through the browser page, not Outlook or anything.

    Click on Select: All, then use the drop down box to the right to "Mark all as read" :)

    Fairly certain that only selects all the ones you can see on that page Aurin. Let me mess around with my account Drez...might find something.

    See, that's what I get for keeping my inbox all neat and clean, I had nothing to experiment with! Thanks for the extra info though, I'm sure I'll have to throw that at hubby's horribly cluttered gmail eventually. :P
