Detective style game gift ideas?

I'm trying to buy a gift for my wife who really likes forensics, but as a form of entertainment, not in any career or academic way. I know there are quite a few CSI type games out there, but I haven't played them, and most of the reviews I read are "if they like CSI they'll like this" which is less helpful than reviewers think. There's a few I've come across, but I was wondering if anyone has played any that they thought were good.

We've got a DS, a PS2, a Wii, and an Xbox 360. I found Unsolved Crimes online, but has anyone here actually played it?

I really enjoyed Hotel Dusk for the DS, which is a detective style game. The Phoenix Wright games for the DS, while not exactly detectives, are similar enough to check out.

I'm not familiar with any more serious, forensics-focused games, though.

The correct answer is Phoenix Wright.

EDIT: Hotel Dusk isn't bad either. It has a more serious tone which maybe she would like more.

Condemed 2 has awesome forensic stuff in it that actually made me think. But your wife will have to have a stomach made of steel to withstand the nightmares in that game.

    Stay away from Touch Detective.

    It's pretty mediocre.

What in the holy hell would make you think this is a good suggestion? Condemned 2 is a Beating Hobos game with a dash of forensics on top.

OP - Don't bother with any of the official CSI games. They all alternated between Suck and Blow, and the first "case" in one suffered a gamebreaker bug making it Unwinnable; which to my Googling has yet to be patched.
