Midwest Travel - Oshkosh to Chicago or SB

So my friend's sister is coming into town by way of Oshkosh, WI. We're trying to figure out the easiest and cheapest route from there to Chicago or optimally South Bend, IN. Are there any cheap train or bus lines that run to either place? Or should she rely on air travel instead? I don't have a timeline yet, but I'll try and get them if it will help.

Amtrak has stations in both Oshkosh, WI and South Bend, IN and as soon as you know dates, their site has a trip planner on it. (link)

Don't wait to order tickets from Amtrak. As the date draws closer they usually jack up the prices.

I don't know about getting her from Oshkosh to South Bend, but I'm sure you know that if you get her to Chicago, she can catch the South Shore to South Bend, right?

    Treeloot speaks the toooth.

Amtrak is a good option if you just want to get somewhere easily. Easily, not quickly.

As a resident of Oshkosh, I can tell you the Amtrak station here is nice and easy to find, since it's right at the airport. :)

(btw, if your friend's sister is hot, send her my way first :P)
