Every once in a while I'll be in a shopping mall, walking downtown or at a movie theater back home, and see a friend from highschool I recognize. This isn't someone I dislike, in fact I have very few people that I don't get along with, but good lord as soon as I see them my immediate reaction defaults to:
run in the opposite direction before they see me and hide
or
pretend that I don't recognize them and try and turn away so they won't see that I've made eye contact.
I do this to people that I actually want to see. Recently I've been making a conscious effort to curb this behavior, but it still springs up sometimes when I least expect it.

Do you know what gets me off? Wet t-shirt contests. They are, perhaps, the most vapid forms of pornography imaginable. These aren't actresses out there that are being paid for money, these are the drunken party sorority girls who have decided that the chance to win $50 and a T-shirt is worth getting naked on camera for a bunch of frat boys and several million horny perverts on the internet to see. The men are even worse - they're beer-filled brain-dead idiots whose idea of communication is WOOO SHOW YOUR TITS SHOW YOUR TITS, they wear spiky product in their hair and they'd probably fuck a cactus if it was wearing a thong bikini.
It is demeaning to all parties involved, offensive to the intelligence of the viewer and I love it. I love that there's a common denominator so low that thinking isn't required or even wanted. The human condition is a jiggling sack of fat spilling out of a soaked cotton t-shirt to the sounds of Lil' Jon.

I get fascinated by sounds or textures fairly frequently. So I'll end up running my fingers over a pattern on the spine of a book for ten minutes, or clicking a pen over and over, or chewing my gum in a manner that creates a repeatable musical rhythm. I always seem to wake up literally ONE minute before my alarm is about to go off. What really freaks me out is that it's not like it's muscle-memory of the same time every morning.
