A short cartoon, and wanting to animate more.

I love cartoons, little animations, flash, etc... A year ago I tried my hand at one, and now it's about time I get back into that. This raises some questions, and some self-criticisms, all aimed at improving myself, but also, I'd love to see animations of others too. Whether they are quick, simple, detailed, or go on forever, animation and animation "doodles" are always great to see.

Here was my go at it... and I've been wanting to take another crack at a new one soon:

Very SFW, but I have my own criticisms/concerns.
- I want to keep the lines stronger, and the shapes more consistent. I'd love advice on this when it comes to doing this in flash.
- My goal for my next project is smoother animation and better timing, all I can do for that is practice of course, but I'd love to hear pointers.
- I notice the online flash is slightly slower than the one on my PC. What can I do to improve bandwidth in a flash, to keep it synced up better, and not suffer any hiccups when it's posted online? (such as a frame hanging and such when played.)

I wish there was a way to share animations, even quick, 1 or 2 second animation loops, as a means of doodling, but I admit I don't know the best way how. Now and then I crack open a program and doodle a walk cycle or something simple, but I want to take those farther. Perhaps getting a personal webspace or blog is the best way? I admit I'm quite noobish and uninformed when it comes to that subject.

I give a great deal of thanks to any advice and criticisms. Hearing animation techniques is something I hope is shared, too.
