When I was a little kid, I always pretended I was the hero,' Skip said.
'Fuck yeah, me too. What little kid ever pretended to be part of the lynch-mob?'
That issue where her and her Lady Liberators give aid to a Myanmar analogue seemed alright, but I'll admit that the only time I've ever considered She-Hulk worth reading was Slott's run, and even that went off track towards the end.
I mean, isn't that just kinda redundant? Also, based on the solicits for Wolverine and Daredevil noir and reading X-Men and Spider-Man noir, the only profesions available to males in the 20s and 30s were P.I.s, Detectives, and Journalists.
Moore hasn't been anywhere near as good as he was hyped as being. His Runaways arc has been marred by the lack of interesting villains of any kind, and I'm pretty sure he's killed Spider-Man 's Mary Jane for good.
It's cool to see Marvel giving such a big push towards some of their B-list properties, like Cable, Deadpool, X-Force, and Bishop. It really gives me a sense of them wanting those characters and books to succeed. It's rare that a book comes out and it seems like nobody at Marvel really gives a shit. Even niche projects like Hellcat, the Noir books, and the Marvel Apes stuff seem to be built up with a ton of buzz and word of mouth.
I really hope Captain Britain's apparent tie-in with Dark Reign will drive its numbers up a bit into a slightly safer, more healthy area. Because it's a damn good book, and I was shocked to see it's not selling very well.
I really wish I hadn't missed out on the 2099 thing, because Spider-Man 2099 and Doom 2099 seem like awesome concepts.
Also, it's pretty funny that Brand New Day (I assume that this is what they're referring to.), ruins continuity for decades to come.
ha... that's funny. Spidey 2099 has to come back and smack the shit out of Peter...
it's also funny that you named the two 2099 comics I followed as a kid, Spidey and Doom. I've heard X-Men 2099 was good too, but I never got into it.

Yeah, but they put Larry Stroman on the Bishop book. It's like they want it to fail or something.
Holy crap there are a lot of Wolverine comics. And that's not counting the appearances he makes in other titles. How does he fit in enough time between adventures for tea and crumpets?
Some more solicitations popped up at Scans Daily. Dropping them into the spoiler box due to size.

Punisher 2099 was pretty much self-parody and hilarious
Ghost Rider 2099 was so bad.
Hulk 2099 was okay I guess
X-Men 2099 was pretty good for the first year or so but it got kind of stale (in fact all of the titles did) when they started tieing into each other. Except for Doom, because that's when Doom got awesome.

if the Hood ends up being the new SS, i will be very disappointed
The Hood is like one of the stupidest characters ever. How does this jackass rising to be the kingpin of crime make any sense at all?:|
He's backed up by a Satan pastiche.
And writer's fiat.
Seriously, I was willing to ignore the Idiot Plot portion of Dark Reign, but it's like that's all tey want to deal with. I'm growing less and less interested by the day.

The TBA on art is weird. I'm guessing it means someone that was DC exclusive until just now and they haven't announced it yet?

Whatever, I like how he's swinging around a giant phallic symbol and is clearly proud of it.

I was referencing the top Cabal cover, but yeah, he looks pretty satisfied with himself while holding that torpedo.
Man, everyone's squinting in that cover. It's kind of making me uncomfortable.
But yeah, that is a pretty weird way to draw him.

They were trying to give the audience the impression that they were in the room, and the group having trouble making out who they were.
Doom looks like he's about to transform and roll out or something. His face looks too robot-y.
Yeah, but a miniseries character who'll swiftly be forgotten.

Why doesn't this place have a Namor thread anyway?
I think I need to make a Namor thread.
I dunno, she was introduced as Thundra/Hulk's daughter in that one-shot, and they seem keen on pushing the Hulk family with the Skaar series.
Maybe the Warbound will finally show up again too.

Ever read any old noir stories
The dudes were all journalists and detectives
Hmmm I do wonder why Marvel is doing this
He has guns and a magic coat
