So I bought Grid when it was on sale over X-mas break. The keyboard is just not good enough anymore and since I have a pretty immersive setup (sound and graphics) I think I need to complete the picture.
The problem is, I'm not sure if I want to do a setup with a simple game controller (The Xbox for PC controller comes to mind) or with a full on wheel/pedals get up.
It's also rather hard to find decent reviews of these controllers online. Any recommendations?
The 360 controller is my favorite for playing games on a computer, unless you have to use the awful awful awful d-pad. You shouldnt even need a driver if you have xp or later.
Jesus, $300 for the wheel it BETTER be good. I'll see if I can find one on Ebay - this would be my first foray back into wheel controllers since the mid 90s
A few years ago, you could get a fantastic (or at least pretty damn good) force feedback wheel, complete with shifter, for $150. Pedals would, however, cost you extra.
Man, I miss those times. If one thing has gotten worse as of late, it would be PC force feedback controllers.
The Logitech MOMO Force is an excellent wheel that can be found inexpensively these days. (Looks like i'm the... third to recommend it. Yeah, it's that good :P)

If you want a really nice wheel get the logitech g25.

There are better solutions out there if you are serious about it, but they run 3 or 4x the price.

I've had one since it came out.... like, seven years, and it still works perfectly. It is solidly built.
