guys I just recently bought a new power supply, stick of ram, and vidja card for my computer
I installed them, everything was running fine and dandy
today, I defragged my hard drive, and then like 20 minutes later my machine freezes up
I reboot it, and I get a blinking white dash on the top left corner of a black screen; I can't type
I can go into bios though before the dash hits
WHAT DO I DO

If your HDD is sata then yes.
Primary IDE Master
and
Secondary IDE Slave
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHA
like, it was so fragmented, that I upset a delicate balance of it just barely working
Nope.
Is it SSD?
Otherwise just use googles dude
it said "loading boot menu" but just went back to the blinking light
Does it lockup when you are tooling around in the bios?
I don't really have anything on there I needed
all my important porn was backed up so
basically a live CD but windows instead of linux
run chkdsk c: /f [or/r if you have time]
If you have install media for the OS run a repair install
no it doesn't
but weaver I can't run anything I can't type from the blinking dash screen
That's why you need a PE cd dude
make one
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BartPE
you use the bootable CD to start the OS and then run from there brosephine
go bug Neville
I was out for a couple hours, I came back, and it boots up to windows normally for about 5 minutes before freezing again and then when I reboot it it does the blinkee thing again
