Does your motherboard beep? Have you checked to see if your harddrive is recognized in your bios? Take out the new stick of ram and see if the problem goes away.

I was out for a couple hours, I came back, and it boots up to windows normally for about 5 minutes before freezing again and then when I reboot it it does the blinkee thing again
