Do we have a roommate thread?

I assume lots of people have roommates, let's talk about whether they are good or bad and the things they have done

My roommate doesn't pay his rent until the last minute, but this time he didn't pay it so at 11:30 the night before it was due, I transferred money from my account to the Rent account, pretty much paying his rent for him because our late charges are pretty hefty, and I wasn't about to let my credit take a hit for this guy

He got mad at me for paying his rent, saying I had no right to and that he was about to pay it when he saw that "the account was full" and that if he had paid rent then the landlord would have just taken out more money than we owed

I was totally flabbergasted

He also orders pizzas a night in advance because it takes too long for them to be delivered when he wants them

So yeah, talk about your roommates/flatmates/leeches & food thieves

    My roomate is pretty cool, although we don't really have a lot in common.

    The only thing that really urks me is that I have two Star Wars posters hanging in the living room (not just any nerdy ol' posters mind you, but actual limited run Drew Struzan pieces of art), and in protest he hung a small Mao poster next to them.

    I am pretty sure he hung it there ironically, so that if a lady ever comes in he can be all "Har har these Star Wars posters are just for jokes" when they obviously are not.

    He tries pretty hard to be a hipster, but it is still better than living with an actual hipster so it's all good.

    I rent this place from my roomate who is in Kosovo with the UN.
    He's a pretty cool guy. I don't see him much.

    Oh, my bad. I searched too, I must be blind.

    I have no idea if one late payment hurts my credit or not, but hell if I'm going to tell this guy that it doesn't.

    eh, that's a pretty clever solution on his part

    I have no idea who hangs posters in a living room, much less Star Wars posters

    Aside from our bedrooms our house is basically one big living room.

    So, yeah.

    It's not like they are stuck up there with sticky tack. They are nicely framed and everything.

    His is just in one of those clear hard plastic things which isn't even the same size as the poster it is holding.

    roommates suck so much

    all of my friends are good people but i couldn't live with them, i don't think. it ruins the relationship, in my opinion
