Which mouse? MX Revolution or G5?

So I was planning on getting a Logitech G5, but then I saw this refurb MX Revolution. Now I'm torn. That's a really good deal on the MX, it's actually cheaper than the G5. However, the G5 is new and corded, so I won't have to worry about connection issues. But maybe the MX doesn't have connection issues? I can't decide.

This is for a desktop. It's used for mostly gaming, but also general PC stuff, image editing and web design.

I just got a 3DS XL. Add me! 2879-0925-7162

    G9!!!

If that was an MX1000 you were talking about I'd say MX1000. But alas they don't make them anymore (best mouse ever created on the face of the earth).

    Go with G5 I think.

I love my g5. It's pretty accurate and even tho i dont use the sensitivity on the fly that much, when i do its really useful. really nice feeling in my hand because of the way i hold it. plus it's corded and i dont have to worry about putting it on a cradle or something dumb.

I love the shit out of my Revolution. The charging station is awesome. The mouse itself is awesome. It's a $100 mouse, so for $30 it's a steal.

I had some issues with my Wireless N interfering with the signal when using heavy bandwith, but I changed the Frequency in my Router's settings and it's no longer an issue.

They are both fantastic mice, so its really just down to whether you prefer wireless or wired.

I've had a G5 for years, and I love it - one of the best mice I've ever used.
Just recently upgraded to a G9 (which is also a kickass mouse), and only reason I did that was because I was getting my choice of mouse thrown in free with a new PC. Still got my G5 sitting about though :)

I hate the G5 for one reason and one reason alone, it has only one thumb button. My brain is now wired to have two buttons, one for "back" and one for "forward". After purchasing the G5, I went back to my MX500 as it has two thumb buttons.

Other than that, it's a decent mouse.

Thanks everyone. I ordered the MX. I figure that if I don't like it I can sell it for pretty close to what I just paid and get a G5 (or a G9, my wallet hates you guys).

They did make a G5 with two buttons later on, since so many people complained.

AtomBomb - Good call on the MX Revo - I love mine to death. So many buttons at my fingers, it's just glorious. I don't know how I managed with just a two button + wheel unit before. D:
