Also THX 1138, I only watched the first ten minutes before I had to leave.

You're painting the forth bridge with that one. By the time you've finished watching them all, we'll have a new project and you'll have to start over again.

At some point I also need to undertake a 'play all my games' project, I buy way too many things that I never end up actually using. Books seem to be the only form of entertainment where I reliably finish it soon after getting it.

That netflix hey? Yeah I guess that's the new thing now. I like to OWN movies so I can rewatch them at my leisure.

The thing about netflix that pisses me off is I CAN'T GET IT HERE. There was a Canadian magazine doing this BIG fucking story on it and I thought wow that's great considering you can't fucking get it up here

    Here's how I roll:

Movie I want to watch = Watch it in theater opening week
Movie I really want to watch = opening night in theater
Movie I'm iffy on = Wait and rent on DVD

If I like the movie in the theater then I end up watching it twice, if I REALLY like it I watch it four to five times before it leaves the big screen. Then I OWN it on Bluray.

If I rent a movie I was iffy on and I like it I buy that too.

Yeah that's pretty much what I'd do too.

Only I was a poor student, so unless I really, really like the movie, I'd wait to see if it dropped in price on DVD (which it usually did quickly).

Also, instead of renting, I'd go see it in the cinema anyway as it was essentially free for me.

    I'm with you Mysst

Was over at a buddies house and it sucks becaues he's like one of my best friends and he's says, "Shit, have you seen Taken yet?"

"No, it's only out in Europe"

"Oh shit man, here I got a DVD for you, good quality."

Then he opens the top massive binder on his stack of binders of burnt movies.

I looked at him like he had offered me a child to have sex with.

Also, Tesco used to do 3 pound DVDs ($5 or thereabouts); so it was sometimes cheaper to buy than rent. That's the only reason I have half as many DVDs as I do.
