iPod Touch not Syncing (A help thread)

Long story short I just got a new hard drive. I transferred everything over from my last drive to the new one, I de-authorized my old drive, authorized my new one, transferred purchases, and even copied over all my iPod folders. Now I have tried to sync my iPod with this new drive and it just sits there syncing forever. I tried resetting the iPod to factory settings and re-syncing everything to it and it still just keeps going and going without finishing. Any help?

    try un-installing and re-installing iTunes.

    Well I don't know what was up with that, but I let it go overnight and that seemed to do it. A weird situation all around with a happy ending. If only I hadn't wasted an entire afternoon on it. =P

    If a mod would like to lock this thread feel free, though it could be left open for other people with iPod issues to get help if you like.

    I had a problem like this but it eventually did sync. When you say you let it go overnight do you mean you just left the ipod plugged in on the sync screen?
