Hate: Dieing. So when the group gets wiped out I soloed the boss for the last 13%.
I miss tanking
3.1 is soon and you can go back to tanking.
If I'm lucky. We'll have to see how 3.1 changes ret in the end.
Speaking of...
Hate: I know it's still PTR, but fucking Spiritual Attunement change? WTF is that shit? If that stays, they better take out the recoil from SoB, goddammit.
Also, regarding SA, don't stress about it yet. GC basically said they want prot to get mana from SA and Sanct, Holy to get it from Illumination, and Ret to get it from Judgements of the Wise, and all 3 to use Divine Plea. I'm sure JotW will get tuned upwards as soon as the PTR test results for ret paladins without SA tell them exactly what they need to do to the talent
I know, I saw that. But this is Blizzard. Do you really trust them to have it working well enough by the time 3.1 comes out? And they haven't said anything about taking out the recoil from SoB, which was pretty much in there for the purpose of mana regen from SA.
Edit: It wasn't clear, but I was kinda bitching about SoB still having the recoil damage more than anything.
why would you want a plagued proto drake if you have a black one though
I actually like the plagued better, plus it makes me feel more awesome as Sarth10+3 is harder to get carried through than any of the 25 man achievements. 8-)

Hate: Joined a Vault 25 PuG this weekend, get there and...oh look, I'm the only one in the instance. Trash is still up, but I have a fucking Raid ID for the joint, magically. This isn't even the "oh whoops, someone else has the ID and now we're all saved" bullshit, this thing somehow managed to give me a raid ID despite A) having not been there in a couple of weeks and completely independant of the rest of the raid AND C) having not killed a fucking thing in the joint. So I got to be fucked out of that raid just because. Thanks devs! Keep that quality programming coming! :^:
Hate: Rolled a few Heroics last night on the downward slide of my long slog towards 80 badges. Hit up Strat and, surprise surprise, lost the roll for the Bronze Drake again. This time with a roll of a 1. That would make seven attempts now for rolling on the fucking thing and losing. And despite people in my guild telling me "oh yeah no worries dude, we'll run in there and get you that drake" it still hasn't happened, despite my (infrequent) requests and my participation to get everyone else their drakes. Ugh. I don't even like the goddamned model for the drakes, fucking downsy looking things, but I want the bronze one because A) it's one of the few colors that are at least palatable for that model and at this point it's the fucking principle, because it feels like I've helped everyone else get their mounts by now.
Happy: Got the hunter to 77, felt like for-goddamned-ever getting him there, but he's finally there. Now he's back on his speedy flier and I finally have someone who can gather ore with a large degree of efficiency.

Happy: Got a group for Heroic Oculus, cleared it and I got my dungeonmaster and heroic dungeonmaster achievements.
Silly: Wiped a few times because I told the tank to use his cooldowns whenever. As it turns out, one of the cooldowns makes him take crazy amounts of damage and makes him very difficult to heal. Oops. But we cleared it anyway.
Also happy: Some lousy ring dropped from the trash in there and I got it with a greed roll. I've probably listed it too high with 3k bid/5k buyout, but eh, the worst thing that can happen is no one buys it and I have to relist it at a more reasonable price.
We downed all the drakes in 3drake sarth 10 man. Then the dumbass OT who has been wiping us all night due to whelp incompetence TAUNTS Sarth and she breaths on the raid, wiping us.
Happy: So only a few days as Holy Pally, mainly greens and still some tanking stuff (left over that i just could not afford to replace atm) so i dont bother looking into heroics and i won't leech onto my guild to run me through stuff. I get a pst for 10 man naxx, sure why not! I warn them about my gear but they need healers. Off to naxx i go..
I made out like a shoplifter at a walmart. 3 tanking stuff, and 5 healing stuff. Got my T7 helm, i out rolled the RL for it, he was on the fence wether not to give it to me, though he auto looted the maly key to himself (since apperantly he's been running 10 naxx for 4 months and never seen sapth or KT, poor baby)
So he gave me the helm since well the raid wants me to keep coming and i need more then 1000 sp.
Wonder: What is the offical date for 3.1 release?

The "buzz" is early April, but I really think that's pushing it. I'd be phenomenally suprised if it happens any time before 4/14, and even then that's optimistic. If it launches before then, one of two things will be true:
1. It will be buggier than an entymologyst's lab
2. If it's not buggy, the devs will have pulled off the first 'released-prior-to-expectations' patch without bugs EVER in the history of this game
Call me a pessimist, somehow #2 seems a touch far-fetched.

Hate: Rolled a Paladin up to level 13. I didn't think WoW could be so boring. Literally all I do is autoattack (with a 3.8 speed weapon) and judge every 10 seconds (so about once per mob). Even my shaman had more options in Vanilla.
I think I remember (from another abandoned alt years ago) that Seals had a very short duration (30ish seconds?) and judging them removed the buff. I guess, when this got changed to accommodate high levels they forgot how boring the first levels will get.
All the skills I learned after level 4 were completely useless to me. Healing and Dispelling? I have Judgement of Light. Two different bubbles? Who cares, it's not like the mobs do meaningful damage on mail + devotion aura. Judgement of Wisdom? As if I had anything I could spend my mana on. O.K., the stun is kinda nice for caster boss mobs, so on something like 3 occasions so far.
Hope: This gets better fast or the char won't live to see level 20.

But thanks, we so close to immortal. We can almost touch it, though as soon as we lightly brush it... it vanishes. We been doing the 20 man runs for people since for the most part all the gear is for offspec now. We find it alot easier to try for Immortal with fewer people. This week will be our last week we need to get people for 20 achievement.... so manybe...just maybe...

I feel your pain. I joined a Naxx 10 PuG on my Druid Saturday and ended up locked to their cleared 25. Things I never noticed: Apparently there is no skull graphic on the portal to Naxx when it's set to Heroic. I petitioned a GM for shits and giggles, funny enough he said they could reset raid ID's in extreme circumstances, but... Only if you weren't locked to the 10 man version, and it's a once ever per account kind of deal. (They're putting in a confirmation dialogue box in 3.1, so w/e) I almost convinced him to do it, my reasoning was that even though I was saved to 10 man I was still in that 10 man and I would automatically get resaved anyway so I couldn't scam another clear out of it. But boo, he said no in the end.
Happy: Got like 4 pieces of feral gear and new healy bracers out of that run.

Yeah I agree. There's a lot more that can go wrong in Naxx25 than Naxx10. My guild is the only one on my terrible server to get Immortal, but there are four or five guilds with 3D kills. However, my feeling is this: black drake means your guild is good, plagued drake means YOU are good. Like I said, it's not hard to carry someone through an Immortal run, if most of your healers and your tanks are good, and the person can survive Heigan on their own. Right now we have a few pretty terrible players with heroic Glory completed. It's a lot harder to carry someone through 3D.

Nah, dude, even when seals were shorter leveling a paladin was boring as shit. I probably would never have leveled mine past 10 or so if I hadn't gotten people to run me through instances. Eventually I hit 30 and specced prot and it was fun for me from then on.
When you get Seal of Command it gets a little better.
But I leveled my paladin like.. two and a half years ago, so I'm not really in the loop for the lower levels.

Leveling as a Paladin requires a certain amount of self-loathing and focus. It's never exciting. Except when you fuck up at which point it's kinda exciting.

I have to agree here when it comes lvling a pally. First 40 lvls were mind numbing, but after that as prot was alright. I was able to get alot of groups back then and tank. If it wasn't for that i dont think my pally would of made it.
Indifferent: Got in a Naxx 25 pug last night full of casual people and about half hadn't done Naxx before. Apparently when I joined they had been doing it for the last 10 hours and had gotten through spider, plague, half of construct, and had decided to move to military. 3 wipes and we got down Raz, then the lack of communication ("Hey guys, dead side's getting overrun, slow down a bit on live" would have stopped a couple of wipes) and retarded dps attacking too early and dying ended up wiping us on Gothik 5 times and by that point they had been raiding since noon to midnight and decided to call it.
Happyness abounds:
Friday: Woke up early because my wife had to get to clinicals way early and I couldn't get back to sleep. Turns out the only time you can find Crawdads on the AH is 6AM. Bought'd and finally got past Outlands cooking.
Saturday, ran H Nexus (again! Stupid run previous I got a tanking cloak, passed on a tanking hat, then it was all mail drops for the rest of the instance) and Keristraza dropped the lovely [War mace of Unrequited Love] which I'd been trying to get for about 3 weeks. rolled a 100 on it against the shammy so I got the Needy achievement as well. A super upgrade from my Saronite Spellblade. Also got the DPS ring. Which is apparently the only blue ring of that level with strength on it, that isn't a tanking ring.
Sunday: My buddy logged on and respecced prot so I could run H CoS, which was both the normal and heroic daily. We were going for timed but our spawns were bad and DPS wasn't so hot. However I made out like a bandit. Tally was:
Both achievements for completing it, as I'd never run it reg.
A ton of gold and some items for doing the quests, and both dailies
BoE tanking shoulders. Lost the greed roll when they dropped at the beginning of the instance, but they dropped again later so I didn't feel bad needing them the second time around.
3 green recipes which are useless to me but amusing.
A neck upgrade, though it has Spi on it and no socket.
Right now we have a few pretty terrible players with heroic Glory completed. It's a lot harder to carry someone through 3D.
That's why, to a lesser extent, I love mah Red Proto. Having healed for every one of those Heroics, and every one of those achievements, it's a badge of honor to say "yeah, I can do all of that".
On topic:
Happy: 4 People got their Plagued last night. 6min Malygos 1-shot.
Somewhat hate but understand: I didn't get to go, because it wouldn't have gotten me mine. The other Holy Paladin in our guild only needed that last one, so he got to go. The slight hatred comes from knowing that he used to be pretty fkin' terrible. Wouldn't be so much, except his little buddies think he's "amazing", and he pretty much takes the credit as his own. I take some comfort in stomping on his little ego whenever we're in raids together though, so I guess it's okay.
Hope: This week's Immortal isn't a total jackoff, and that we can get a couple other 25-man achievements done. We've only ever done Patchwerk in 3min once, and the guild STILL doesn't have "Shocking" done. Boggles my mind, some nights.
Hate: Our guild would have had server first Heroic Glory if we already had done shocking (we even missed it on our first immortal!) We got it the week after but was damn annoying to come second because of retards.
Incidentally that was quite a few weeks ago now - just know that i feel your pain laurlana
Addendum to my above Happy:
I solo'd the last bit of Mal'Ganis. Having not run it before, I didn't realize that if he was looking at you, that was bad. The tank didn't get him turned immediately, so I ate 2 shockwaves about 5 seconds into the fight. I died and soulstoned, but I had almost no mana. So popped my potion and all my regen abilities as I tried to heal people. As soon as I start making headway he sleeps me. So I bubble and start healing, and things are going ok, and he sleeps me. And keeps sleeping me every time I think I'm getting anything done. So people start dropping. We lose a dps. Then I can't keep the tank up. So it's me trying to keep our remaining dps up while constantly getting sleeped. The lock goes down. We lose the other guy. I've basically given up healing at this point cause he has about 50k HP and we're all just blowing our damage abilities. The last DPS dies across the square from me and Mal'Ganis is hauling ass towards me with about 10k as I'm tossing HoW and Exorcism and Holy Shock and whatever and suddenly he sleeps me and I'm cursing in party chat and while everyone is going "where's the pally?" and the last tick of the warlock's last dot drops him to 1hp and suddenly I get my achievements.
Hate: Our guild would have had server first Heroic Glory if we already had done shocking (we even missed it on our first immortal!) We got it the week after but was damn annoying to come second because of retards.

The last time we failed at Immortal we just intentionally wiped on Thaddius until people got it through their heads that we would be there until they stopped being retarded. It only took a couple tries after that.

The week after immortal where all we needed was shocking that is the exact line we used and amazingly people were running on time and not being retarded for once.
You made claim to sucky people with glory - I fully agree, one of our comments in a recruitment thread was "We are practically giving away Drakes" some of our triallists got their glory achievments and this is like the first time they have done 3d sarth.
Hate: Missed Naxx due to work last week and it will happen again this week, though for different reasons.
I just don't have the patience to pug it, depsite people claiming it is a cake walk for anyone.
Hope: I'm worried that my guild isn't fully up to getting server firsts, just feels like we have some dead weight that is going to feel very heavy when we start pushing for hard modes! I just hope i am being too pessimistic.
Happy: Red sword of Courage is mine! Tanking set is coming along nicely. Still need a few more bits and pieces, but it seems to be going rather swimmingly.
Happier: Got enough Stone shards for the Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders. Happy little rogue alt!

hah, this reminds me of a puggy gruul that I went to one monday night back in the day (as a healer.) Apparently, this raid had been in gruul's lair in one way or another for almost 24 hours, and had been cycling people through as they got tired/quit/starved. It actually only took us a couple attempts to kill gruul once I got there, but man.

Happy: 1k gold from the Traveler's mount. Well, maybe 1.5k, if I wanted the buffer for when I go over to help cover repairs and stuff ( I probably won't be this patient)
Another happy: Since beginning this grind, I have discovered how much I like tinkering on the AH markets. It really is its only little game and it is something I never knew much about, but I am picking it up.

The worst part of Thaddius is when someone runs back and forth every change regardless of their charge. Apparently this asstard had never actually gone one charge without changing. And when they did had to have it explained, slowly. And still denied it.
"Nuh uh I've never done it like that."
"Than you got lucky"
"lol whatever it's not me killing the raid"
*facepalm*
Happy!: Through careful and excruciating savings of valor badges (grumble) I was able to save enough badges for the t 7.5 shoulders!
Happier!!: In the same run finally won a roll and got the tier legs!
Happiest!!!: Then went on to win the BP of FP from sapphiron!
Happierest!!!!: Pulled of 5.4k dps on patchwerk to set a personal best without army of the dead which would have easily knocked it into the 6k+ range!!!
For the last couple weeks a bunch of night owl guildies have been running h naxx around 1am on friday and saturday nights... er morning i guess. So i've been going with them for a few weeks and been rolling pretty badly previously. Was funny though, there were 15 (yes 15) dks/mages/druids/rogues in raid so it was hilarious seeing the need rolls for tier pieces :P
Happy: Finally making some progress again on my Paladin after shelving him for nearly a month. Leveled him from 76 to 78 between Sunday and yesterday before we went down for maintenance, bought epic and cold-weather flying, and I managed to unlock the Hodir dailies and turn in a bunch of stockpiled relics to get to Honored right away (sadly, the server went down before I could do any spear-thrusting or horn-blowing).
According to my calculations, I could power myself to Exalted today if I turned in 1260 Relics of Ulduar, not counting the rep I'd gain from finishing today's dailies and the rest of the non-daily questline. If I could find that many relics on the AH, I'd seriously consider buying them.
Anxious: I really want to hit 80 on this alt soon. Having a new character to sponge loot in heroics and raids with will be nice (my main is running out of stuff to take for most of his specs), but I'm also waiting on him to hit 80 before I switch out Herbalism on my Druid for Leatherworking, my next alt is probably going to want at least some of the BoA gear he's wearing, and I'm eager to finalize what my next alt is actually going to be so i can send it all the alchemy mats that are filling my Paladin's bank.
OMGHappy: Got bored on my main, and fed up with my alt Rogue/Warrior/Hunter that I didn't feel like leveling, so I decided to give the DK class another serious shot. Holy fucking shit is this class fun. I can now see why it is so goddamn popular. At level 65 in the Underbog/Slave Pens, I was literally pulling 1.1k DPS (hilariously, this is, more times than not, more DPS than people can pull in PuG heroics at level 80) while everyone else in the group is rocking about 400 - 500 DPS.
Yeah, um, once you get a pretty good handle on the class mechanics, the DK class is fucking ridiculous. I'm having so much god damn fun just wrecking shit.
Also Happy: Reforged Truesilver Champion. Yeah totally worth it if you guys are leveling alts. The sword scales insanely well with your level.
Haaaaate: I decided since this will be my next 80, that he should have some professions. Mining/Skinning. This will be my fifth attempt of leveling mining, even though I promised myself I would never level mining again, here I am, wasting a couple days just grinding this ridiculous skill...
Hatesquared: You can't runeforge heirloom weapons
Hatetothethird: Getting a pretty constant stream of "lol were did u get that sowrd?" If i respond, I get: "what is an heirloom item?", and then, "were do i gt shards?". I'm seriously considering setting up a respond macro at this point to deal with this shit.
Hope: DK T7 / Blood Sigil are changed in 3.1, or Blood DPS won't make much sense anymore.
I mean, they can't just leave it like that after telling us not to use Obliterate, can they?
I would be very surprised if deathstrike becomes the main nuke for blood. I can imagine the crying in pvp....
PTR seems to be leaning that way.
[edit] Picking out the obvious things from a quick skim...I'm probably missing some...
* Death Strike: The weapon damage percent on this ability has been increased from 60% to 75%, but the amount of healing per damage done has been reduced by 20%.
* Abomination’s Might: This effect can now also be caused by Death Strike.
* New talent: Improved Death Strike: Increases Death Strike damage by 10/20%, and critical strike chance by 3/6%.
* Might of Mograine: No longer affects Obliterate.
Yeah a guy in my guild had a GM refund his tokens when he realized that. I wonder if they're changing it in 3.1? I mean because they're changing the ability to enchant them, just that if you're too low level for the enchant it will show up red/unusable, so maybe for runeforging too?
Hope: People don't dick around or disconnect and we can get Immortal again tonight. I'd like to be able to stop worrying about running out of time before the patch.

Happy/Hate: Ten days of work left.
So wait, simply because he couldn't runeforge his weapon, he returned it? It's still leaps and bounds superior to anything you will find while questing, just slap crusader enchant on it like I did and have fun.

I know, I saw that. But this is Blizzard. Do you really trust them to have it working well enough by the time 3.1 comes out? And they haven't said anything about taking out the recoil from SoB, which was pretty much in there for the purpose of mana regen from SA.

I got the red bug in AQ40! Woot! We had 3 drop in one run, and our old world raid swelled to almost 30 ppl now. That made me a happy panda!
Hate: i can't ride it outside AQ.... fudgy.
Tally was:
- Both achievements for completing it, as I'd never run it reg.
- A ton of gold and some items for doing the quests, and both dailies
- BoE tanking shoulders. Lost the greed roll when they dropped at the beginning of the instance, but they dropped again later so I didn't feel bad needing them the second time around.
- 3 green recipes which are useless to me but amusing.
- A neck upgrade, though it has Spi on it and no socket.
- Pauldrons of Destiny for my healing set.
So now I have 1662 + heals.On topic:
First Blood 85 Priest 80 Mage 85 Paladin 83 Druid 80 DK 85 Huntard 85 Shaman
"Tardo Wan" sounds like a Jedi that required 436 years to train and then killed himself by looking into his lightsaber while turning it on."
Incidentally that was quite a few weeks ago now - just know that i feel your pain laurlana

The last DPS dies across the square from me and Mal'Ganis is hauling ass towards me with about 10k as I'm tossing HoW and Exorcism and Holy Shock and whatever and suddenly he sleeps me and I'm cursing in party chat and while everyone is going "where's the pally?" and the last tick of the warlock's last dot drops him to 1hp and suddenly I get my achievements.
with 300 HP and about 100 mana remaining.
Hate: ...I need to pay $25 to get each one to my account?

It actually only took us a couple attempts to kill gruul once I got there, but man.
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Another happy: Since beginning this grind, I have discovered how much I like tinkering on the AH markets. It really is its only little game and it is something I never knew much about, but I am picking it up.
"Nuh uh I've never done it like that."
"Than you got lucky"
"lol whatever it's not me killing the raid"
*facepalm*
