Steam fucked up something

So I have this new computer, and I decided to install steam. Everything went right, and then I turned it off. The following day, the computer started real slow with a disk check and everything went weird. I removed all the steam apps and steam, then restarted and ran a disk check yesterday.
Thing is, I still get this error from the automatic wallpaper changer that I will post as soon as I can restart the computer, and rainlendar is staying in the default skin and won't change back to the chromophore one it was one before, is this a sign of something serious?
