Cable input interfering with 360/PS3

For the past three or four months, while using my 360 and PS3 I had been getting strange green and purplish lines that move from the bottom of the screen of my television to the top, and I recently discovered that it was the coaxial cable input that was causing the interference. Is there any way to eliminate this interference that doesn't involve unplugging the coaxial cable from the back of the television every time I want to play?

To explain the setup, the systems are connected by their licensed component video cables to a switch to alternate between the two, and the switch is connected to the one set of component inputs on the television. When connected directly to the television, the PS3 still has the same problem all the time, and the 360 only has the problem sometimes. Removing the coaxial cable carrying a cable television signal eliminates the problem in all cases.

I have already tried buying a new coaxial cable and it did not solve the problem.

Any suggestions?
