According to the very nice gentleman I just spoke to, he's been fielding calls for two days about people wanting hem and he's not found a single store yet that has any. However, he said that they might be reordering them at the discounted price for potential delivery on Monday or Tuesday. I'm not sure how much you can trust that, but there it is.

I'm nipping in to town in a mo. The HMV in York is pretty un-used for games so there's a slim chance there may be one. I'll update if I manage to grab one. I'll also check the Leeds store on Monday just in case the re-delivery thing is true.
Yeah, just picked up the last one on the shelf in HMV Trafford centre, was stickered up at £99.99, I hoped it would scan at the reduced price, but no luck...
Right, I'm going to get myself a 360. Goozex may well be a godsend as I can play/trade games for it saving me cash.
I can't justify spending £150 out of my own pocket on one as I'm supposed to be saving for various things. However, I have a bunch of reasonably high value PS2/GC games I'm going to sell on eBay (We Katamari, ICO, SotC, Zelda Collector's Ed. etc) and a whole lot of low value PS2/GC/PC games.
Ideally I'd like to make enough for a premium 360 and a decent game, next to that either a new arcade or one of those used 20gb's from Play.com.
Could you throw a few 360 deals my way Lewie? So I have an idea of what to aim for? Also, should I steer clear of those used Play.com 360's? I don't want to get RROD and be out of luck as I doubt I'll get any kind of warranty.
(100 jiffy bags are on their way to me, that's all I'm going to pay for in my effort to get a 360)

Yeah, I'd steer clear of a used 360. The launch models (like mine was...) have a relatively high failure rate (mine did...) compared with the new chipsets and the warranty on it would be gone I imagine. I fear buying a used one would turn out to be a false economy in the long term.

Zelda collection with the 4 games on? Throw that up and i should be able to have the points for it now.
Anyway, Amazon are probably your best bet right now.
You get a 60gb premium for £159.99, or if you really want to save, you can get the 20gb one for £146.99 (not worth it imo).
Then when you buy a console, for an additional £10, you can get any one of the following:
Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Pack (Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda)
The Godfather II
Wheelman
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Game of the Year Edition
Fable II
Gears of War 2
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.
Far Cry 2 (Xbox 360)
Prince of Persia
Grand Theft Auto IV
SEGA Mega Drive: Ultimate Collection

If you are looking at getting a 360 maybe you should use the Playtrade service on Play.com to sell those high value PS2/GC games (they tend to sell quite fast on there) and you can use the money made on a new 360 console deal on Play.com or transfer the money to the bank.

That's a pretty good deal on that. Anyone found a deal on the ps3 version? It's kinda fun, but not full price fun.
Sadly no, most PS3 games I found (save for LBP) have a long wait till prices drop

I've been looking for Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (the PSP game) for ages, but it doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere. Best I could find was new for €20 (~£18,5) from PlayTrade. Should I go with that or are there maybe any better offers for the game (with shipping to EU mainland)?

Thanks for your offer, but I generally don't like to buy used games due to, well let's just say unfortunate suprises in the past.
I cleaned out my spare room this weekend and found less crap than I thought I would. I did discover a Dreamcast and a Megadrive though (with a fair few games) but I want to hang on to them.
However if anyone would like:
- An LCD Topgun (Compatible with PS2/Xbox/PC [for MAME])
- The Xbox Shotgun/Sniper Rifle Light gun
Then let me know. The LCD Topgun will work with any tv at all (being it works the same as the wiimote), the Xbox Shotgun/Sniper rifle is this one:
Except it's a lovely shade of green and it'll only work with CRT's. It worked great for House of the Dead 3 and Silent Scope.
If anyone wants them then they can have them, they're just taking up space.
I'm looking to buy Persona 3 FES at some point, so if any of you find it mega cheap, then let me know. It's not an urgent request, I just want you to remember me if you stumble upon it.
I'll look into the Play trade thing, I feel more comfortable with eBay but I may be able to get more for my games on Play.
And cheers for the deal Lewie, I'll start aiming for that amount as soon as my jiffy bags arrive.
My target is £170, for a 60gb 360 and a free game which will probably be Fable 2 if the fiance gets wind of it being part of the offer, otherwise GTAIV.
[strike]Does anyone know the cheapest price for an official Gamecube controller? I'm suspecting the B&M stores (possibly CEX) have some nice 2nd hand ones but I haven't been out to town in a while. I'd like to actually finish Wind Waker sometime...[/strike] Nevermind, my cousin has a GC and I'm gonna borrow his controller since he never uses it.
Also, Okami! Wii or PS2? Goozex has PS2 for 200 pts, which is tempting...
Just bought myself a PS3 (the 60gb model, so I've got the BC, woo), and picked up LBP at CEX for £15 (they also had MGS4 for the same price, might pick that up later). Anyone know the best place to pick up a DualShock 3 on the cheap? I know peripherals don't tend to come down in price that much.
I got it on eBay for £245, with two games, two controllers and the freeview recorder play thingy. Not bad, considering that a 60gb console alone was at £285 in my local CEX, which was higher than the 80 and 120 right next to it.
That's really good actually. PlayTV is pretty ace too, although you might want ot think about getting a massive hard drive to stick in the PS3.
My parents use a PS3 + 500gb hard drive (iirc) and PlayTV on their main TV, and they love it.
I'll have a look for controllers in a little while. I need to find somewhere that will import white DS3s too actually, if anyone has any suggestions, that would be great.
Edit: Airan, I am first in line (but on hold) to give Okami on the Wii. I'll be ready to send it probably in a coupel of weeks (at my parents right now), but it is in mint condition, and it is the version from HMV with the extra sleeve. I don't know if we can coordinate you getting my copy, but if you want, I can let you know when I am going to be taking it off hold.
Hrm, if anyone is in Edinburgh, and fancies a bit of the weirdness that is Odama for GC, head to Gamestation on Princes St., where they have it for (if memory serves) £4.99.
Also, HMV on same street has selected PSP games at £20 for two, but this includes stuff like FFT and Crisis Core.

Oooh, hmm. Did you enjoy it? I only have 100 points from my initial reg so I was just contemplating what games I was willing to let go from my collection to build up points. I can obviously buy some more from Goozex. Might take you up on that offer, though I'm not sure if we can use Goozex as there appears to be 7 in line...
Play are having a one day April Fools sale, including PoP with expansion/epilogue for 9.99 for both Xbox/Ps3. They've also got Siren and a few other things up, but PoP seems like the best deal, in terms of price/relative newness of game.
I feel dirty for lowering myself to the level of those ebay people but even though i only have a 360 I just ordered one in the hope that i can at least sell it for enough to get myself a 360 one.
