From "If Software" comes an RPG set in the Doom universe. A beta of the game has just been released. Heres a video of it in action:

    I played the alpha, all kinds of fun even if it was only 2 levels.
    With some refinement this can be brilliant. Unless Blizzard and iD put their foot down, which we hope they don't.

    oh my god. this... this is the perfect game. or the perfect idea for a game, whether the actual game here lives up to it is a different matter. definitely going to try it out.

    i always really wanted to play the doom rpg for cel phones, but i dont have a phone that does that kind of thing.

    That is, conceptually, the perfect marriage of two very different games with similar theme. I can't believe it hasn't been done before.

    Played through the new version yesterday. It's pretty damn awesome. There's quite a bit of game there too.

    Tip: There's no shop, so drop an item if you aren't going to use it.

    We really need more modern/sci-fi-y Diabloesque games nowadays. Alien Shooter: Vengeance was great but lacks co-op and any kind of replayability, and Survival Crisis Z is single-player and blackjacked by Vista when it tries to launch. Everything else is just one goddamn boring-ass high fantasy clone after another. :sigh:
