    You should be able to buy a game for $10 that's skinned all horribly in ads for AMP'D ENERGY DRINKS and FLAMIN' HOT CHEETOS but is otherwise the full game or you could pay the full $60 for the default version of the game.

    It'd be a great market study on how the public would respond to annoying and intrusive sponsorship.

    I think this was already done. They talk about it on the PA Podcast for the comic about Battlefield 2142 advertising. Some other service replaced in game textures and gave you interstitial ads and let you play the games for free. Might have been Gametap or something I don't know, it never came to Europe and I assume died on its arse.

    What if I do not play Sports games, but like the PB&J flavor?

    From the great responses and feedback we received, game genres such as “Action” or “Racing” from the flavor names will be removed. Gamer Grub flavors are now: Pizza Blend, Wasabi Blend, PB&J Blend and Chocolate Blend.

    Oh, good. I was concerned that there was something wrong with the idea here.
