I have a new pair of pants and normally, I'm fine with a little shrinking, but these fit perfectly. I am worried that washing them will make them shrink to much and they won't fit as good. They are old navy pants, mostly cotton I think. Suggestions?
Pants have never been an issue for me, but long sleeve shirts have always been a problem, so I air-dry those. If you're hanging clothes up to dry, I find it helps if you use fabric softener too. Helps keep them from getting that stiffness that air-dried clothes sometimes get otherwise. It can be kind of a pain if you don't have one of those washers with the separate little reservoir for fabric softener, though, since you have to add it... later in the wash cycle? I honestly don't know, my washer takes care of it for me.

It's a good idea to wash clothes in cold water in general, as it'll save the shrinkage and energy.
