And the only one I can find that rips the audio is this site, but it both causes a weird playback problem on iPods and the mp3 is gives me isn't readable by Flash.
So can anyone please suggest a method of getting audio from youtube videos? Preferably one that's easy to do as I have no technical ability whatsoever. None, seriously.
I use Audacity, which is a pretty awesome audio recording/ editing program, and you can subsequently do stuff like amplify, reduce noise etc., then export as MP3 or other formats. Best of all, it's free! double-win! http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Just change the recording source to 'stereo mix', and it will take whatever audio is coming at the time.
I don't know of the legality of taking the audio off youtube though, but from a technical point of view, this is the method that i have used successfully.

I don't think the legality is an issue when the dude that made the video ripped it from the DVD of the BBC Proms and posted it onto a free video sharing sight in the first place.

Here's an MP3 of it. The original audio was 128 kbit/s AAC, so I encoded it at a higher bitrate since encoding from one lossy format to another is a bad idea in the first place.
The short filename was so I didn't have to type in the terminal as much because I'm lazy :P

I use vixy.net, just input the address and select audio rip and save it once it's downloaded. This also works well for ripping the entire video to put into your iPod.
