Cable issue

So, I connect to my cable box through HDMI. But today I turned it on and the image was shaking. It did it on every channel.

I called the cable company and they said it was my HDMI cable, but I replaced the cable with one from my Blu-Ray player, and it's still shaking. Is it possible that both of them are bad? I dont want to spend 50 bucks to replace something I don't need to.

Probably not the cable, but why would you spend $50 on an hdmi cable?

That was... well, it wasn't completely unhelpful, so, thanks... I guess.

He was saying if you pay $50 for the cable, you are low on the IQ scale.
    Probably below creationists.
Anyway it's most likely the cable box, make them replace it.
I am assuming the Blu-ray doesn't shake, so it's not the tv.

Do you have any other wires to connect cable to TV? Component, etc? Or is there only one HDMI port on the cablebox and/or your TV?

Just trying to think of variables to eliminate.

Does it shake on all channels, even the OnDemand or whatever?

Reset the box and it works fine. It's always the first thing you should have tried... thanks for the help H/A. Lock please.
