man he's just talkin bout fonts not our way of life
he's wrong about the fonts
but I doubt he feels that way about everything
But everything needs to be taken to its most extreme logical outcome because you see such as slippery slope and cognitive bias also FUCK, MY BRAIN, OUCH.

Y'know, I actually had this idea that when technology has developed far enough so that all our daily needs can be taken over by robots that the best way of living for people would be 'the block'.
In the middle would be 'the factory', a square building in which all people, dressed in their matching jump suits, would spend 12 hours of their day working - pressing a button over and over or something.
Around the factory would be the houses, square identical domiciles, each one exactly the same distance from the factory to ensure equality.
Next to that block would be another, and another ... blocks as far the eye can see.
It would be glorious. Don't you think?

And who needs anything more than black t-shirts and jeans?
Jump suits actually. Colored according to your occupation (service, security, worker etc).
With little symbols on the shoulders and chest to depict your specific job.

I went to an event called "Semi-Permanent" the other week, there was a guy there who is the art director for WIRED magazine, he talked about the use of serifs and sans serifs in their logo and proper use of kerning, leading etc. It was pretty damn interesting.
Also, I just recently used Century Gothic in a logo. I want to use Eurostile in more things however.

Man I went to Semi Permanent in Brisbane last year and it was excellent.
Tony Mott - rock and roll photographer and a personal idol of mine.
sixty40 - some totally cool australian motion designers
Spencer Platt - an amazing photographer working for Getty who told crazy stories about literally being woken up in his apartment in Manhattan by the sound of a plane crashing into the WTC and being the first news photographer on the scene and staying there for about 10 hours shooting thousands of photographs
Debaser - probably Australia's best album cover and music collateral designers, who were of special interest to me as that is exactly the field I hope to work in one day

Spencer Platt was amazing man, I saw him last year as well but in Sydney, so i'm not sure if he told the same story but he was talking about how hard it is to see people dying right in front of you and you have to be all "okay taking a photo now *snap*"
And yeah Sixty40 were pretty funny, I remember how they were talking about annoying mobile phone ads (you know the kind, send a msg and get this ringtone ads) and then they're like "oh here's a phone ad we did"
I think it was Psycho Teddy, which I wont link because it is all kinds of annoying.

hell yeah man those guys were awesome.
Did you see the Pixar dude?
He didn't come to Brissy
I think we got Tony Mott instead which is fiiiiiiiiiiiiine by me
The Pixar dude was pretty cool but don't worry he wasn't the most memorable one there so you didn't miss out.
I will say but that this years one was better than last year, Danny Yount talked (the guy that did the Six Feet Under opening titles), he was amazing.
Oh and the last speaker was Digital Domain, who is best known for the Gears of War and Halo ads, the talker went through how they did those pieces and I gotta tell ya, I have never seen so many girls get up and leave during a talk.

The only music we ever need to listen to is God Save the Queen
The only thing we ever need to eat is Roast Beef and Potatoes and Pees
The only thing painting that should be hung in a house is Van Gogh's Starry Night
The only car anyone should drive is the Toyota Prius
The only tshirt anyone should wear is plain black with "Keep on Truckin" written on it
edit: soooo late
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
all it says is " this is a shirt" on it

I agree with this one. But you should be allowed to choose the font colour
saying to me I can only use one font is like saying to a painter he can only paint with one colour

Well of course he doesn't but that's his own fault for failing to recognize the utility of aesthetics, like so many neckbeards before him.
typefaces carry meaning.

Going to change and go to bed though because I've got an exam tomorrow afternoon.
Meh, I'll go and eat some cereal now.

Speaking of diseases, those gays are a bit uppity, aren't they? All "errr why can't we get married."
as long as you mean eat a cereal, like barley, or wheat. anything beyond that would be afunctional and unneccesary
