How to get scratches out of sunglasses?

I've got some light scratches on my sunglasses, nothing too deep. How do you buff these out on the cheap? Is there some product I can rub on it, or use ultra fine sand paper or something?

There's a "liquid lense" (Lens DRx) product on the market. It's mostly snake oil. You might have better luck with windshield glass repair liquids.

I'm a fan of watch crystal polish for most things but I've never used it on a coated surface.

I see a lot of happy comments from people who've used Armour Etch. I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

Unpigmented wax. Rub it over the scratches and buff out with a towel/rag. This doesn't fix shit, but it fills the scratches so they aren't visible. I also use this method to mend scratched CD's long enough to rip them.

White or semi-translucent candles are a good source (live votive candles).
