[WoW] Server Recommendations?

Okay, I've been out of the WoW game for a long time. About a year, really.

And, with the summer coming, I'm thinking about getting back in. My main is a 63 BE Hunter (yes, I know, not a terribly creative setup there).

It's still sitting there, on 'Rivendare'. One of the reasons I stopped playing though is because I hated the server--it's a low population PVP with a rather poor economy (i.e. AH sucks). Due to my WoW playing habits (I started playing WoW because I love Warcraft way too much, not because I enjoy MMORPGs), I'm actually quite fond of running the old instances--UBRS, Strataholme, etc. Trying to find someone to run those with on a low population PVP server is tantamount to trying to find someone to hold your hand while you cross the street while being a leper.

I know the situation has changed a great deal. Can anyone recommend a mid-population server where they know people are open minded to running older instances, as oppose to just doing Mana Tombs eight times a day (that was basically Rivendare)? I have this armor set that I'd like to complete (plus, some of the older instances, in my opinion, have the most interesting stories). I know I'm going to have to move my character anyway, or restart entirely, so any suggestions as to where to go? I'm open to pretty much any server type (I prefer almost everything to actual PVP servers).

I hate to come with my cap in my hands like this, but I figure pretty much everyone is better informed than I am.

better suited to the chat thread, but a high population server is better for running old instances.

You'd be better off rolling something like a ret paladin, or death knight, if you like older instances...once you're at 80, death knights and ret paladins (some other classes too, but those two do it best) can solo basically any normal level instance level 70 and down.

Yeah, I was wary of that--but at the same time, I thought it might just get lost. Bad form, I know.

That had also occurred to me--like someone suffering from Alzheimer's, I always return to Hunters, no matter what other classes I try. It's a long way to 80, though, especially since I'm hardly a power leveler (and since I can only spend so many hours staring at my computer screen). Not so much for a Dark Knight, though, given where you start.

as a death knight you can start soloing older instances as soon as you exit the starting area at 58.

At 58, basically anything less than Scholomance or Stratholme are yours for the taking.
