Ramayan 3392 A.D. (formerly called Ramayana Reborn) is a new take on the world famous Indian epic, the Ramayana. Created by Virgin Comics, it will feature a new take on the historical original classic, which was written down by the ancient sage Valmiki. The new take on the historic drama will take place in a partly science fiction setting, upholding the age-old philosophy and morality of the tale.

I've obtained the first 2 issues and I must say that the art is absolutely gorgeous. The potential for the story is phenomenal, the original epic that this story is based upon is considered to be a master piece of human literature.

I loved hearing this (presumably dumbed down version of this) story as a kid in primary school...something about learning about all cultures

Now I just need to find a place to buy it in Belgium...

    Looks awesome

I've been really intrigued by the Virgin Comics line and, if I had more money to spend on comics, I'd probably have more than just John Woo's 7 Brothers on my pull list. In general, the books do seem to have pretty high quality art. If I have some extra money after Christmas, I might go back and get the first few issues of this and Devi, assuming they can be found in my town.

When he dies, I hope they write "Worst Affirmative Action Hire, EVER" on his grave. His corpse should be trolled.
