    Hey,

    fuckyougoons.png

This is why the ready verb was separate from the enter verb in the original SS13.

    Fourteen players.

The fact that they like Dwarf Fortress is enough for me to consider them honorary PA forum members.

Merging the player groups seems like a reasonably good idea at this point, anyway, since demand for the game is slightly lower here than what it was when it first came to our attention. Maxing out at 10 or so people kind of sucks.

No, they're from Curses, meaning that they like Liberal Crime Squad.

Which is good, because JSF/SC/Ukelele spent about three hundred hours working on it and bringing it to a playable state.

There is now an interrogation minigame, and even more political issues for the LCS to express their insane stance on.

LCS's humor is derived from the fact that the Liberal idealogy is correct, and that the ELITE LIBERALS are all batshit crazy.

Squeegy, what are you trying to demonstrate in that screenshot?

He used the ready verb, and for some reason or another it didn't send him to the station. If it gave him any sort of error message as to WHY, he failed to include it.

As for that verbage consolidation, don't look at me, we adopted it from the goons.

Edit: Also, Neo and friends, any plans on making Internal Doors and/or cardlock lockers break/hackable?

You weren't logged in at the time, that list was a direct response to his question of how many non-PAers were on the server.

As for the internal doors/lockers thing, emags can break them, and from the sound of it, Lorden's made doors hackable, so I'm probably gonna be lazy and wait for him to update his dropbox, then do another codemerge.

So, because it currently doesn't look like mans are showing up tonight, I'm gonna start on my to-do list. To quote my .txt on the matter:
    TODO:
Fix wizards getting an assassination target that no longer exists due to becoming AI
    Persistantly shocking airlocks
put emergency closets in the arrival shuttle
Add support for players not being teleported to the station properly
Anything else I should be doing?

Three times last night, my headset somehow messed up, not broadcasting my message and returning a crackling sound like I had just heard a message that was too far away to make it out.

Also, I think at one point within the last week I welded a locker then somehow unwelded it by using my ID on it. I think I'll try to repeat that right now.

Edit: Never mind, it turns out that you can't even weld lockable lockers any more. Using a welder on them is read as an attempt to lock/unlock them using your currently worn ID. When I thought I was welding someone in, I was just locking them in normally.

This might actually be considered a bug on its own, since welding those lockers is something perfectly reasonable to do. The new lock/unlock code could be considered to be incorrectly overriding that capability.

    Today's changelog:
    • Changed Wizard code around some, it SHOULD no longer be possible to be assigned to kill the mob that gets turned into the AI.
    • Airlocks will no longer zap the everloving shit out of people for 30 seconds if they multitool the elec wire.
    • Added a room full of emergency lockers to the starting shuttle. Possibly too many, but meh.
    • Removed redundant monkey pen door.
    • Fixed whispering and using intercoms ("say :w" and "say :i", respectively).
    • Making "lithium ion phospate" now properly loses you a beaker.
    • Handheld medical scanners can now tell you what all shit is in a dude's bloodstream.
    • Removed ability to circumvent percentile chance of gaining superpowers.

Telekenisis needs a nerf. Especially when combined with X-Ray vision. Just about unstoppable.

The real danger about telekinesis is that wizards can get it for free. Combine it with thermals, and they can toolbox people from the other side of walls. Completely shifts the balance towards wizards.

    Bullshit superpowers are just bullshit.

The wizard also has the ability to hulkify. That plus all those other things can be pretty overpowered.

Telekinesis is well known to need a nerf, but with how its code works (when performing various actions, the game checks if you are within one tile OR have telekinesis), I suspect that adding a range limit to it would require updating half the code files. As this check when doing stuff is the ONLY thing telekinesis does (that I can find in the code), unless I was to try my hand at rewriting how it works from scratch (I probably won't unless my perceived ability to work with code jumps up a few notches), I'm probably gonna slap a range of like 3-5 tiles on Telekinesis, and maybe restrict its ability to be mixed with other powers.

Still nothing stopping you from having telekinesis and the thermals, though.

Edit: A good way to fix telekinesis would be to have it somehow check for line of effect. That way, you couldn't kill people through walls. That'd be non-trivial to program, though.

So loki (as traitor) getting accidentally killed while being detained for rudeness aside, I'd say that round went fairly well.

Shooting somebody and then tightening your grip on their neck until they die is hardly accidental.

See, you're attributing to malice what could more easily be explained by idiocy (and someone that hasn't played since before we switched to Goonstation, judging by the fact that they were later trying to reach engineering through the air tunnel.)
