all right, so this thing
is a horrible piece of crap. i have gone through three replacements and five phone failures, and i am facing the fifth of them now. i am sick of dealing with the things and i want to invest in a phone that will, if nothing else, last a while. i also need an mp3 player, and i know a lot of you roll with these
do they play nice with PCs? are they worth every penny?
if you resent the iphone, what do you roll with? what are the alternatives? longevity is key.

but I can see why some dudes don't like them
if you want your phone to be a great phone then the iPhone is probably not for you
but I like it because it carries all my music and audiobooks and email and internet and a few games and videos all in one little sexy thing

I'm all about WordFu, Puzzle Quest and Rogue.
Peggle on May 12!
None of my old phones needed that, and I never got close to filling my ipods with that much before I upgraded to the iphone
I love it so much. Totally dependent on it
My iPhone has about 800 or so tracks on it. My actual iPod has close to 18 gigs.
And every time I push it Lucky Cynic is all
why do you need to carry more than 10 days worth of music in your pocket?

all of my phones so far have been very straightforward "it makes calls" kinds of phones, which has been fine until recently.
but now it seems like I really could find uses for a phone that I could put notes on, use to keep track of upcoming deadlines, and so on
those people are stupid
it takes five minutes to change the music on your iPod and you'd happily pay an extra few hundred bucks for storage for music you probably never even listen to

this is exactly why I got a Blackberry
if you have a lot on your plate, you'll be so glad you have a smartphone of some kind, plus you can always write little notes or stories if you get bored
Is over a year old and good as new. It's easily the most indestructible phone I've ever owned with an outer display. I'll give it another year or so, then probably upgrade to the latest generation of the Hue. I was seriously considering a RAZR, but those thing are flimsy pieces of shit. I've seen people drop them once and they never work again.
My favorite was my old Nextel Motorola i530.
Fuck dropping, I've thrown that thing. It never broke. I loved that phone.
Tons of people had one too once they got cheaper but everyone seems to hate them now. Apparently they break really easily. Everyone I know that used to have one had to replace it. However, mine has experienced zero problems since I got it a year ago. I am quite satisfied with it.
so is just about every other motorola phone
the best phone I ever saw was called the G'Zone
ugly as shit, but you could chuck that motherfucker off a mountain and I bet it'd still call out
why would you make it a flip and not a brick
shit don't make no sense

The last time I had it and my keys in one hand, and they started to fall. I instinctively grabbed for the keys
Nothing would have happened if those had fallen. Dammit
I kinda wish they had a replacement policy though
you should see the flip on this thing though
you could take the thing and try to bend it in your hands, it woudn't budge
it was awesome
why are some iphone owners so defensive about this
whenever someone mentions choosing not to buy an iphone, especially if they say it's because it can't hold all their music, an iphone guy will pop up to call them dumb
it's not an insult to you if someone doesn't want the iphone, and it's not like it devalues your purchase. some people care enough about having all their music in one place to let it affect whether they buy. not a big deal.
I like having all my music in one place because I never know what I'm going to want to listen to that day.
if you say dumb things you will be called dumb
it's not me defending the iPhone really, if they came out with a 30 gig iPhone I'd call that dumb too
I do it with people who need to buy another terrabyte external drive every year and regular iPods are up to what 80 gig now?
Most people listen to their core group of records and have other records in their collection they've listened to a handful of times, put it on when the mood strikes or the situation calls for it.
When handheld storage makes such a difference in price, it makes no sense to me that someone would pay so much more for storage they've convinced themselves they need because they can't go to the store without Billy Joel's entire discography when the only song they've actually listened to is Piano Man.

though I am gonna pick up an ipod shuffle for working out
love my touch but that fucker's clunky
even with full audiobooks and vodcasts and episodes of venture brothers

but admitting I have a problem is the first step, right?
and that's on the real las vegas tip
live music takes up hella space
the in-ear ones hurt my ears and the ones that go over your head are clunky and slippery
what do I do
what
do I do
It's mostly filled up with digital movies I'll never watch, just because I can. I don't buy these damn things, they just give them out like candy whenever you buy DVDs/Blu-rays.
when you say in-ear, do you mean buds like the standard ipod ones?
I had the same problem - I used these for a long time which are very comfy and light and you can easily wear them all day and they sound pretty great for the price
then I got a pair of these for secret satans last year, and I'll never look back. Sound great, I wear them all day at work and they never hurt.

hmm, kinda pricey, but they do look fairly comfy
thanks for the tip, hoss
