[Pokémon] Tournament: Final Round! Ashton Vs. RMD! Check OP for a training guide!
Posts
Yes, you are one of the regulars who I'm still waiting for a registration from!
Keep on waitin', Ashton.
Keep on waitin'.
I am thinking between Empoleon and Feraligatr.
Charizard is totally third because he is the winner of most badass by a mile.

The answer to this is a highly subjective one. Best stats for what? And if you have great stats but a crappy movepool, you're not as good as something with slightly worse stats and a great movepool.
I'm pretty sure they all have the same totals, and Charizard and Typhlosion have the same stats.
Mixed Attacker? Probably Infernape. Mixed Wall? Venusaur, Blastoise, Meganium, maybe Swampert. Stupidly fast special attacker? Sceptile. Special Wall? Empoleon. Physical Wall? Torterra. Etc. etc. etc.
True I should have been more through. All I meant to ask was really who is your favorite starter to keep on a team.
Plus to get people to not post in the old topic and get this one going.

I'm a scientist!
My favorite starter is Quilava. Not Typhlosion, but Quilava. I just think it looks adorable. I like Grovyle a lot too, though.
I just noticed that Silver/Crystal are still in their boxes on my shelf. I can't believe I actually kept them in such good condition. Urge to play them has tripled but the batteries in them are probably dead.
EDIT: Apparently Skype thinks my friend code is a phone number in the UK. Interesting...
It's probably a hint that you should call me and explain where my ditto is you filthy kidnapper!
And I can't help but notice that in the OP, the tournament is still listed as starting on May 1st, even though registration isn't due til the 8th.
I use one pokemon up front, poke radar, max repel, kill/catch, but it still my chains break.
The patches are sometimes shiny as well.
Wassup wit dat? I am trying for a shiny Machop.
3DS FC: 5343-7720-0490
The "shiny" bushes that you are seeing are not "shiny". The bush that you enter must shake in the same way that the VERY FIRST bush you entered shook like. You should also only enter the furthest-away patch, and even then, only if that patch isn't on the very edge of the field. I also wouldn't enter that patch if it's only a few spaces away (even if it is the furthest away). If no bushes are far enough away and also shake properly, walk around a bit (avoiding all the shaking bushes) and re-use the pokeradar.
Also, even if you perfectly follow some kind of guide to chaining pokemon, there is never a guarantee that the right pokemon will appear. Your chances for continuing the chain depend on the rarity of the pokemon (and can be increased with the Static or Magnet Pull abilities, if you are chaning an electric or steel-type pokemon).
The actual "shiny" bushes are easily distinguishable. Rather than just having a few little lines, they actually noticeably sparkle.
There is a lot more to it.
Anyone got a spare shiny machop?
3DS FC: 5343-7720-0490
I doubt it, but you never know. I have a bunch of shinies, but I can't see me parting with any of them. They are like trophies.
Oh well thanks for the explanation. I'm at work and can't look it up. If you do run into someone (or anyone with a shiny machop let me know)

HP: 15
Att: 29
Def: 25
SpA: 31
SpD : 29
Speed: 22
The HP is disappointing but hell, it's a Snorlax. Plenty of HP to spare.
I'm just feeling lucky that I managed to get a good one in only a dozen eggs or so.
Does anyone want to Battle?
NNID-InvisibleInk
In fact I have a poke I trained as a result of our first battle weeks ago that I've not used yet
NNID-InvisibleInk
Who needs silly appliances?
I'm kind of screwing up against this Dragon though.
NNID-InvisibleInk
It's like you saw my team before the battle. This could have been awesome but hey, two electric types on one team, one of the only leads that could have screwed me at the start
Also the amount of pokes you have with flying/levitate, on the one game where I bring spikes instead of a stealth rock.
Great game Rami. Mind if I upload that video?
I only had the 2 Levitators, but also 2 Steel types.
NNID-InvisibleInk
We should have another battle, I've still got some more testing to do.
NNID-InvisibleInk
It does screw over my Hippo and Machamp actually.
Oh ho ho ho, I did not fall for your little stat boosting trap!
NNID-InvisibleInk
haha thats flattering I guess. I didn't expect anyone else to see that as a good idea. I'm not even sure about it myself.
Another good fight Rami. I'm back on my game! Thank goodness. Or maybe its just cause I'm not bringing my novelty pokemon this time.
You're going to upload that as well?
NNID-InvisibleInk
The new guys have pretty much all turned out to be useless sacks of shit, averaging 0-1 turns before dying. Doesn't help that you have so many damn steel types that I can't lay a finger on, and every time I bring a tank you seem to have the exact sweepers required to not be phased by it.
I don't see anything on your team thats really a sack of shit, nothing like my Cursing Lapras. Just give them a shot against someone else.
But every thing I saw are also popular pokemon, which means most people here are familiar with and possibly prepared for all of it.
