My dad used to get a kick out of playing the Aces Over series from Sierra Online way back when. I was thinking a good WWII flight sim would be a good Father's day present. He's got an laptop that's a few years old, so I wouldn't need anything too new, but something from that last 4 years or so would be good. Are they even making good WWII flight sims anymore? If so, what's good? My google-fu hasn't turned up too much.

Tried IL-2 Sturmovik? Depending on how "few" those years are there shouldn't really be a problem. Can get amazingly realistic (which is a huge plus... at least for me).
Could also be cheaper somewhere else, but Steam was the quick and easy answer. :P
Microsoft's Combat Flight Sim 2 and 3 are both good, but definitely lean more towards the simulation than the arcadey feel.
Also, any of the "Jane's" flight sims are good.
:edit: Wiki to the rescue, they actually had a list.
