no, the first two episodes were just so Hollywood-awful, I deleted the series pass.
Maybe it got better, but there's only so much hokey bullshit I can ignore before I get annoyed.

The first episode's "reboot stopped a bomb" baloney used up 98% of that buffer.

well it's a good thing you stopped because I don't know if I could have handled someone else whining about things that don't actually matter

    Unbelievable, obnoxious premises do matter.
Whose whining? I explained why I didn't like it.

well it's a really good show that doesn't really give a shit about being 100% scientifically accurate and I've made my peace with that

mainly because that stuff rarely bothers me anyways but still

What are we talking about, how Chuck turned people off with its pilot? I know it made me want to punch things.

But I hear it'll be back, at severely reduced pay and on Friday Nights.

All these shows are getting renewed this year (Better Off Ted also), and I might actually have to start watching them. It's a shame networks are only now realizing that Nielsens don't mean jack. Too late for Pushing Daisies and Firefly.

I may give Chuck a shot as soon as I'm done with season one of Psych.

Also, I've been watching more TV on DVD lately and catching people from other shows that I didn't notice before.

    Juliet from Lost on House!
Mac from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Lost!
Andy from The Office on Arrested Development!

I actually notice Dennis from Always Sunny in a lot of things. He's the Reaver victim in Serenity.

I love Family Guy and American Dad.

Do we try to be shocked you love terrible things?
Or do we just nod and move on?

Kind of weird how The Before/After cancellation versions of Family Guy, and also American Dad, are like three phases of McFarlane's descent from working on wit and good stupid comedy, to just focussing on lower grade stupid comedy.

It's almost as if they're running a business!

I get that attitude, Tube. Networks gotta make money, nothing wrong with that.

But sometimes it's nice when a show has a beginning, middle, and an end, without being dragged out as far as it can possibly go.

There are not many shows which are allowed to do this.

Escape would have been a good name.

Its vague enough to provide tons of widely different scenarios while staying true to the direction of the series.

The fact that the name was so wildly inappropriate just shows that every season after the first one was an ass pull.

Allegedly, the Prison Break movie thing will go back to dealing with another Prison Break, so at least they have that going for them.

Prison Break really could have ended earlier and I would have been satisfied with what was there. I had a soft spot for it because I watched it with my dad a lot. The way it turned out, I'm not too happy with the ending they gave it. I don't think it was necessarily bad how it was, I just didn't think it was necessary. But I still enjoyed the show.

I really didn't know King of the Hill was still on until I saw a new episode about a month ago. I hope Adult Swim gets more than the first few seasons to work with. (That's kinda what it seems like they're airing currently.)

    Also The Unusuals

Without a Trace may also not make it back, though Cold Case will. Which is good, since they feel like the same show most of the time.

I was saying the other day that Southland really needs some kind of cohesive plot to develop if it wants to continue to hold my interest

I do think they've got a great premise going and I like the show as it is

but there's really no driving force to keep up on it from week to week. if they'd start to introduce some 'villains' in the gangs they could go in a more Wire-like direction, or if they'd give us a reason to care about these characters that would be fine too.

the current format just seems really sporadic. it's not even monster-of-the-week, it's just "here's some random crimes with some random character development in between"
