TV Shows: Renewals and Cancellations
Posts
well it's a good thing you stopped because I don't know if I could have handled someone else whining about things that don't actually matter
Unbelievable, obnoxious premises do matter.
Whose whining? I explained why I didn't like it.
mainly because that stuff rarely bothers me anyways but still
If you tell me I will enjoy it, I will give it another shot... for you, Geebs.
Alright. I will give this show another go.
For Centipede and Geebs!
also the birthday party is painful to watch
so many waaaaaay too close shots of ladies that aren't that attractive
But I hear it'll be back, at severely reduced pay and on Friday Nights.
All these shows are getting renewed this year (Better Off Ted also), and I might actually have to start watching them. It's a shame networks are only now realizing that Nielsens don't mean jack. Too late for Pushing Daisies and Firefly.

the 2nd episode sucked (the one with the helicopter)
Also, I've been watching more TV on DVD lately and catching people from other shows that I didn't notice before.
Juliet from Lost on House!
Mac from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Lost!
Andy from The Office on Arrested Development!
Cut throat bitch from House was in most of the first season of Mad Men and I didn't even notice until like two weeks ago. And I watch both shows religiously.
she's in both seasons, actually. though i think she showed up a little less in the second season because betty was hanging out with her horse friends more.
I actually notice Dennis from Always Sunny in a lot of things. He's the Reaver victim in Serenity.

Kind of weird how The Before/After cancellation versions of Family Guy, and also American Dad, are like three phases of McFarlane's descent from working on wit and good stupid comedy, to just focussing on lower grade stupid comedy.
I get that attitude, Tube. Networks gotta make money, nothing wrong with that.
But sometimes it's nice when a show has a beginning, middle, and an end, without being dragged out as far as it can possibly go.
There are not many shows which are allowed to do this.
I'm tempted to look the show up, now.
Its vague enough to provide tons of widely different scenarios while staying true to the direction of the series.

Allegedly, the Prison Break movie thing will go back to dealing with another Prison Break, so at least they have that going for them.

Have you seen the final 3 episodes yet? They've aired in the UK, but Jesus Christ...what a way to end it. It both brings closure and no closure at all. I want one more episode, that's it.

I really didn't know King of the Hill was still on until I saw a new episode about a month ago. I hope Adult Swim gets more than the first few seasons to work with. (That's kinda what it seems like they're airing currently.)
No, I haven't, and I'll thank you not to spoil them for me.
Well, you can wait till the 30th when they start burning them off here in the US.

Also The Unusuals
Without a Trace may also not make it back, though Cold Case will. Which is good, since they feel like the same show most of the time.
A shame, really.

was hoping they'd wait until salvation came out to see if they could get a viewership boost from that
kind of cheesed off about it though as the ending leaves some pretty big gaping holes in an terminator mythology
i recorded a few unusuals, guess i'll just delete them now
yay dollhouse, yay

I do think they've got a great premise going and I like the show as it is
but there's really no driving force to keep up on it from week to week. if they'd start to introduce some 'villains' in the gangs they could go in a more Wire-like direction, or if they'd give us a reason to care about these characters that would be fine too.
the current format just seems really sporadic. it's not even monster-of-the-week, it's just "here's some random crimes with some random character development in between"
they are badly in need of some good shows
I mean, look what they're debuting in the fall:
