Ok, Budapest is nice, but you don't need a festival to go there.

3 and 5, basically. I don't think they did the console ones.

I like 5 so far, it plays a lot like the originals (I didn't play 3 or 4) but I'm like "Really, Stalingrad again? How many times have I done this?"

    This is just amazing.

I co-signed my sister's student loan so she could attend the college she wanted. I'm responsible for this loan and if it doesn't get repayed I'm fucked. Apparently we didn't ask for enough when we got the loan because the school says we owe $4600. My mother says that we can't get more money from Chase because they need proof that my sister is enrolled in this school and they won't provide such proof with this outstanding balance on her account. So my mother wants me to apply for a personal loan for the amount and use that to pay the balance and then next year get more money from Chase and then use that money to pay off the loan I applied for. If we don't do this my sister can't attend this school, she'll have to go to a state school for at least a little while.

This is so amazing. First I get to pay over 600 dollars for a cable bill because my mother has silently been failing to pay that bill every month and now she chooses NOW, rather than MONTHS AGO, to tell me I need to come up with 4600 dollars. My fucking checking account has no money in it because she's already borrowed everything out of it.

And I have to deal with all of this shit while I am personally trying to transfer to another school where I'll be spending forty thousand dollars a year in tuition.

Exactly. Though I didn't feel CoD 5 was really terrible, more like after playing Modern Warfare it felt really dull to play a game that was basically CoD 2 all over again.

My mother said that months ago she talked with them and they set up a monthly payment plan but it was 800 dollars a month, something that was impossible to pay even if she wasn't currently on disability. She says they aren't willing to work with her any further but I'm not sure how true that is.

Honestly, transferring to a state school would probably be the best option for my sister and for myself. I don't know if she can even continue attending school somewhere else with something like that on her account at her current school. Doesn't that follow you around?

Loans aren't bad in general as long as you are the one in charge of your own destiny. Co signing is awful because you put your ass on the line under the hope the other idiot pays, if they don't they come after you all the same.

I don't feel like helping anyone out anymore. If she wants to attend school she can figure out how to get the money herself or she can go to the community college I attend and get everything paid for with federal loans.

So I'm at my aunt's house trying to set up her 360. No router, just a cable modem. The internet's working fine- I'm plugged into it right now. However it won't assign an IP address to the 360. I've unplugged it from the laptop and plugged it into the 360 and it just won't assign an IP. I've powercycled the modem 10 times, I've turned off the 360 first, the modem first, etc. and I dunno.

Why will the modem assign an IP address to my computer but not to the 360?

This is true, I don't think I'd cosign for anyone. Getting tagged by our IRS-esque agency is something that leaves a publicly available mark on your record for something like 10-15 years. If you're in their records then you can kiss your card goodbye, can't get a loan yourself etc. I guess you have a similar "system" of that.

Is her internet provider retarded? Over here, Telus used to only allow you two or three devices, and if you wanted to hook anything else up to the internet you would have to call them, cancel one device, and hook up another.

I don't think they do that anymore, though.

In other more retarded news, I've started playing Far Cry 2 on the 360. It is quite fun.

There's this massive area of land to roam through pretty freely.

I don't travel by land any more though, as there's an enemy checkpoint you have to clear out after every minute of road time. And it's impossible to just dash through them, as they start pursuit in pick-ups with mounted 50 cals...

When travelling on the rivers it's much easier, as there are fewer enemies and they seem to be exponentially more retarded when following you in boats. It is also prettier.
