Morninglord, your immense knowledge of DMC4 scares me. I had no idea that the taunts were related to your style level, I thought it was related to what enemies you're currently fighting, but this Youtube video I've found seems to agree with you.

Some people know math. Some people know literature. Some know music and some know images.

There are those who study the mysteries of the unknowable and those who study the tiniest of what is perceivable.

Everybody has their own noticeable skill, their own calling in life.

Mine is deliberate study and practice because of too much leisure time and too poor to buy new games so plays the old ones to death.

Install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 and DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010). (TOG NOTE: Chances are you've already got these if you're playing through Steam. Both have been linked above just for convenience.)

Extract the contents of dmc3_dll to your Desktop.

Next open AFSExplorer and click File -> Import AFS file. Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Devil May Cry 3\data" and open GData.pak (if the file is hidden, type "GData.pak" in the file name bar).

On the right side of the window the file tree is now displayed in red. Scroll down until you reach snd_wp00a.pac.

Right click it and select Import.

Navigate to "Desktop\Dante" and select snd_wp00a.pac.

Two messages will pop-up, click Yes and Ok.

Do this for all PAC files in the Dante folder.

After that click on Advanced -> Modify reserved space... and a new window will pop-up.

Click on Regenerate AFS! and save the file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Devil May Cry 3" as GData.afs.

Close the window, click on File -> Import AFS file... and open the newly created GData.afs.

Scroll down again until you find snd_wp00a.pac, you'll notice that the file length is now displayed in green.

Right click -> Import. Navigate to your "Desktop\Dante" and select snd_wp00a.pac.

Instead of an error message you will now get a confirmation text on the bottom left of the window that the file has been replaced successfully.

Do this for all PAC files in the Dante folder.

When you're finished go back to the beginning of the file tree and select the files starting from pl000_00_3.pac until pl000_00_26.pac and pl021_00_3.pac (25 files in total).

Right click -> Export and save them in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Devil May Cry 3\data2".

Close AFSExplorer. You can now either delete the data folder inside your Devil May Cry 3 root directory or keep it as backup if you wish to uninstall the mod later.

Finally copy dsound.dll and dmc3se.ini to your Devil May Cry 3 root directory, overwrite any files if prompted.
This mod changes damn near everything about Devil May Cry 3 and pretty much everything about it is optional so you can break the game as hard or as little as you want. There are also a TON of quality of life fixes contained in this mod like being able to run the game in flawless looking widescreen or to even use the arcane device known as "the 360 pad." The heart of the mod, though, is the style switcher meaning you can now swap from style to style to on the fly.

This completely changes the scope of DMC 3 and opens up things we'd really only dreamed of before. If you've been wanting to play DMC 3 on PC but didn't want to put up with a busted game then your savior has arrived. For everyone else, it's time to bust this game wide open in completely new and wacky ways. There is a smidge of work involved with installing it but it only takes a few minutes and it's all pretty well explained in the thread.

Also you can switch dopple and quicksilver too.

    Also Vergil gets quicksilver.

I've really only mucked around with this a little bit but the quality of life changes alone make it totally worth installing. Playing this on PC in proper widescreen is glorious.

    So the style switcher.

FYI It's not on by default so be sure to turn it on in DMCSE.ini because it is god damn fantastic. It works exactly like it does in Devil May Cry 4 with the different styles being mapped to the d-pad and it works flawlessly. Don't forget that there's an option to make it so that it displays what style you're in on screen so you don't lose track.

After reading through the Phantom Babies thread (which I don't actually recommend anyone do because that forum is awful) I saw that this mod is still in production. The guy working on it is hoping to get a final version out soon and when released it'll have a few other goodies in it apparently.
