Using a videocamera to record my monitor. Best lighting?

Yeah, I'm recording me playing my PS3 using my video camera. It's a pretty old SONY camera but it works well (has USB inputs so cant be that old I guess).

Anyways, just wondering about the lighting in the room. If I want the best picture quality, what should the lighting be like? The situation is the camera is on a tripod recording my LCD monitor which is me playing my PS3.

Should I record when its sunny outside and get lots of natural light in the room? At night? At night with a light on? Or is there no difference? Thanks guys.

Like proposing a 3-way, lighting is best done indirectly.

Usually that's accomplished by a bounce board or similar - pretty much any white semi-reflective surface. A big piece of poster board, for example. You shine the bright light on the board, then angle the reflected light to your monitor. I think night time would be better as then you'll have complete control of the lighting.

Be sure to use the white balance on your camera.
