please help me my steam wont work

so my brother closes steam right? this was half an hour ago btw and now it wont open!
is this just me or is anyone else having this problem?

    I don't have any problems connecting to Steam right now. Also, we already have a Steam thread.

    I realise this is completely obvious, but have you tried restarting the PC?

    yes i have, and yes,peewi im aware that we have a steam thread i just didnt think to post this there until you brought it up

    EDIT: k got it working... never had to restart a comp twice in 10 minutes before

    I've seen this sort of thing happen before. Usually I could solve it by opening the task manager and closing Steam, which was apparently still running even though I had closed it.
