Also god damnit if I have to play this game you'll be sorry. How does it rate in comparison to CoX?
The Good: The graphics are superior
Combat is much faster and more dynamic
Mob AI is better
Open power selection (classless)
Stats allow for more specific character customization through gear and talents
Costume editor is a few layers more detailed than CoX
Notice how Killdozer always seems to be doing that sexy thing with his eyebrow? That's because I set his "mood" to "courageous"
The Bad: There isn't enough variety of content to support the number of alts you'll roll
The game is still quite buggy
Basic issues reported back in beta still unfixed
There are substantial balance issues in PvP and there always will be due to open power selection
System requirements are quite high, particularly if you want the game to look good
That's all I can think of really, trying to be impartial.
Yes, $14.99 month to month, with discounts if you pay for more months in advance. The free trial is highly recommended. For some people that's all the Champions Online they ever want, and then some of us get sucked in.
Yeah I spent a month in the game and pretty much saw all the content there was. And was bored of it. The game really doesn't have that much in the way of stuff to do. I think I got to like, level 26 or 27 and was done.
We got a magical stone made us fly from the starting allod (aka flying rock) to a smaller one where a flying ship is waiting for us. Also wearing the blue rep rewards from the Survivors.
Here's a remake of my character from CoH, Scion. My only problem with the game so far is having to use that power center to go train, as it's really not talked about a whole lot until you finished the tutorial. But other than that, oh god my soul.
Not sure who I want to make next, I'm not really digging the telekenesis stuff.

Telekinesis is a weird set, but it is very good. I have a level 32 TK guy if you have questions I'd be happy to answer them over in the CO thread.

My wife and I spent an hour starting her CoH character. As soon as we get in, and she gets 2 levels, I realize.
We just made a darn good copy of Elektra
I kind of like this one.

I named him the Green Knight because I couldn't think of a better name.
He's actually just a sentient, animated obsidian statue that thinks he's the God of War.
