Broken USB Transceiver

I bought a Explorer Mini-Mouse a couple months ago. It worked really well and I would recommend one to anybody. Well, it did work well until I tripped over my laptop cord and it fell right on the wireless transceiver for the mouse. Not the mouse doesn't work anymore. Big surprise. Lets assume that I cannot return it to the store, get a refund, or repair it, or have a warranty. Is there a way to get the MOUSE to work again? Do I have to purchase a new mouse or can I get just the transceiver? Or do I have to break down and buy another mouse?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here is the mouse and specifications:

    In the United States and Canada, you can reach the Microsoft Supplemental Parts team at the contact numbers that are listed here:

    * United States: (800) 360-7561, Monday through Friday, 5:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Pacific Time.

    They should be able to give you a price on just buying a replacement receiver.
