aim buddy list

I'm running Mac OSX and using adium. Today I log onto AIM to find my buddy list has been replaced with AIM Bots. I tried opening iChat and found the same thing. Can anyone help me out here?

    I'm on Vista and using Pidgin, same thing happened to me. Luckily most of the people on my list also use Steam or are friends on Facebook, so I was able to reconstruct it for the most part.

    my aim list was completely slaughtered recently as well. very sad =(

    i haven't found any way to restore, i've just had to add back. apparently i wasn't the only one.

    AIM just put out a significant update. Did you update and do something wrong during installation or something? I know mine wanted to check a bunch of things and find buddies or something when I updated, but I didn't let it do anything. Also I was surprised to see it still had the record of my e-mail address I used to register my screen name way back in 1997.
