People still do all that stuff. Raids and tf/sfs are, far and away, the best way to get merits, which are still really handy to have. It usually takes a bit more effort to put one together, however.

From what i've played on test, it's not the end of the world. PSW isn't what it was, but it's still a great PBAoE that stuns with a bit -rech component. Plus with the +rech you and I have it's still up every 4 seconds which is still crazy. We're weaker, but still little engines of doom.

Anyone got any advice for a fire/fire dom? I've never really played a dom before but I finally fired up the game (which run decently on my laptop, only 1 crash every 3 or 4 hours, unless I open too many windows like map, contact, chat, more than one power bar, inspirations and enhancements all at once).

While recreating my story arc from back when MA was on test (and saved onto my other computer), I made a sweet looking villain mage (thanks to the magic pack) and so I decided to upgrade him from NPC to playable character. However, I know shit all about doms. Just some general advice would be handy

My advice is wait until tuesday because doms are changin' all over. Also cinders and bonfire are terrible powers.

I get some use out of cinders! It's a nice "oh shit" power every now and then. Bonfire is good because you can put a kinetic crash set in it.

Char is fucking awesome power...and ANY hold power you can add to your rotation is, as I said, fucking awesome.

Well that's ok, I mean bonfire is an AoE knockback, so it'll scatter everything you're trying to kill, so all of fire's AoEs will be mostly useless. That'll be nice for you. You have fun trying to kill everything while it's on opposite sides of the room and shooting you in the head.

k, that's what I thought, just wanted to be sure. I didn't want to install off the GvE CD when I know I'd have to download virtually the entire game through the updater anyway.

EDIT: I haven't played in a year and I'm gonna buy that cyborg booster straight up anyway. Because some of that stuff looks freaking sweet and most of my mans are cyborg style anyway because I have no creativity.

Where are folks mostly these days, villain or hero? The changing sides thing isn't live yet is it?

EDIT2: Actually it looks like I should just buy the Architect pack since it's the price a month would be plus the booster minus $5.00

Just install from the GvE CD. It won't update the ENTIRE game again.
