do you own said mp3s? like own own, copyrighted in your name, you own the publishing rights own? and not like "bought at the store and ripped to mp3" own? cause if you don't you can be looking at some serious trouble.

as for bulk hosting, how much bandwidth and how much space do you need? anything from http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ to rackspace dedicated to aso extreme.

if you budget == 0, and you do not own said songs, i would suggest you find the songs posted on youtube and just embed them.

You could use sites like megaupload, rapidshare, filesavr, drop.io, etc. to do this. They generally suck (especially rapidshare) so you may want to watch out for slowness or too many hoops for users to go through.

Or sign up for a cheap hosting account. Somewhere like hostgator, dreamhost, etc.

I personally just have an apache server set up at home and a no-ip linked to it.

Hardest part of doing any of that is forwarding ports on your router.

If the only thing you want is personal file storage, I recommend looking at Dropbox.

The pricing isn't extremely competitive, but the software is very nice.

Buy a slice (VPS) and do whatever you want with it.

Keep in mind that if you use this type of service to stream MP3s from, you're most likely going to pay a ton in bandwidth charges if you're a heavy user. You have to know Linux and how to do things on it to make this worth your time and money - it's great way to learn if you're interested, though. For $20/month for a basic package, it's a good deal.

I do not work for and am not affiliated with this company. I'm a satisfied customer.

There are plenty of MP3 blogs that do this kind of thing. Take them down after 2 weeks, put it up for getting the band out there kind of thing.

I host some MP3s on my blog for streaming, and I just use my own hosting. I've got 500mb and 25gb for $10 a year (I'm in the UK though). Ridiculously cheap. It depends how many MP3s you want to host, though, since 500mb won't cover you for more than 100 songs. If you want to know the hosting company, however, then send me a PM.
