I went to access my router and my username and password wouldnt work. So I resetted it, and it still isnt working. I took its power away, still didnt work. Any idea of what I can do to try and reset the router? The standard push the pinhole thing in to reset isnt working and I was wondering if theres anything else I could do.

I know this is not very helpful, but sometimes I have the same problem. If I give the router some time... the problem goes away. Don't ask me. It usually takes 4-8 hours...

I know this doesn't help you much... but maybe try again tomarrow morning...

Needless to say I am not happy with my D-link router. I have had many other problems with it... For the record I have a WBR 1310. Good luck, hopefully someone else will be able to give you some better advice than this. As far as I am concerned though your primary problem is probably that it's a D-link router.

What's the reset procedure for your router? Some are "Push the pinhole button" others are push the pinhole button for at least 5/10 seconds" and others are "unplug the router power cable, push and hold the pinhole button, plug the router power cable back in, and release the pinhole button after 10 seconds".

tl;dr: make sure you are resetting it right.

I've been going through similiar issues with my DI-524 router. It'll drop my wireless internet all the time, then not respond to trying to access the control panel. Like fforde said, if I leave it, it'll usually fix itself after a few hours, or alternatively simply unplugging it for 30 seconds, plugging it back in, then waiting 10 minutes usually fixes it as well.

Call up their tech support. I tried their email support, but all they did was run through the same steps listed on their website. Once they reached the end of it, they told me to call phone support. They told me if the most recent changes I made don't fix it, I should be sending it back for a replacement. Might be worth your while, too.

Wireless dropping could be due to nearby people on the same wireless channel. Download netstumbler and scan, then set your wireless network to an un-used channel.

95% of the networks I see in Netstumbler are on channel 6 (usually the default, out of the box setting) or channel 11.
