Ok, so what I'm getting from this is - the blonde kid was turned to stone but the red-head kid has a magic healing touch. Unfortunately also a glass jaw. And the scoutmaster is a basilisk taming child rapist. Like all scoutmasters.
Great comic, but I think a question these boys should have posed to their leader before embarking on this quest would have been "Has anyone ever actually earned their Basilisk badge?"
I can't believe the two kids had the balls to rush the fucking thing with their eyes closed. I know, you aren't able to look at it without being turned to stone, but fighting a giant monster blind is some hardcore shit. Fuck yeah, it's my birthday comic!
edit: I also really like her art style, in this and the last one.

I dunno, that'd probably be my tactic if it ever came down to it.
Just close my eyes and run at it, waving my arms around, yelling gibberish and swear words.

He would respond "I did" and then silently stand on a cliff, back to his troop, staring at the horizon.

Aren't they running away from it?
It's basically impossible to tell where anything is in relation to anything else. I don't know what the comic words are for it, but the camera position seems to change arbitrarily from one frame to the next with no point of reference to orientate yourself by.

Nah they charged it and it brushed them off, then the redhead tried to get the littlest one to safety but was knocked aside as well. Then when the smallest one was underfoot he saw the scoutmaster essentially being all "nut up and get it done, boy"

"What Men Must Know, a Boy Must Learn."
It's the key to understanding both pages here. And the scout leader knows he hasn't prepared them enough to learn.
Edit: Oh shit, what if the eyepatch is the key? That way you are looking at it but you aren't!

e: what the hell is going on in this comic
I know lots of people are going to bitch because they don't understand the last panel, but I love where she's going with this
The boys are getting an education in getting their asses kicked.
Now it all makes sense!
I read that and it just makes me want more. She did a great job of leaving me hanging without making me lose interest.
Blond kid's eyes in the second to last panel
How can you possibly not understand this comic?
He's human trafficking!
Antimatter is blind and the robot didn't put any alt text in the image link.
Way to make antimatter feel bad about being blind though, gg.
I understood it
It was more like "What the hell? Dammit."
no no no
he's teaching them by letting the basilisk kick their asses
Also clears up why the leader was saying sorry last time.
@szech - I believe that statue is the one the fat kid hid behind in the last comic, and blond and redhead kids are out of view in the first panel.
that is all.
Dude is hardcore
the hardest of cores

harder than Jupiter's, even
leave the science to the robot comic
the leader guy is putting them through an exercise.
right?

Even better than the last one.
