A little disappointed that it's so short, but still awesome. The entire series is pretty much done by Monty himself, and he does it in his spare time for the fans. I think it even landed him a job at Namco.

You know, I saw some version of one of these in the GT user video section or somewhere where someone started breaking out summons.
I might be more interested in something he did if he started doing videos with less fanwank and Les Yay and more Ryu Hayabusa vs. Pantheon of FF Summons. Why? It'd be like 300. Except instead of 300, it's 1. And he's a ninja. And the ninjas that were already there are now giant fucking monsters. In addition to the other giant fucking monsters that were already there. And then everybody dies.

That's Part Four.
Yuna ditches the guns and starts summoning shit like Shiva, Ifrit, and Bahamut on the clone Kasumi's.
It's pretty nice until the romantic scene between Cloud and Yuna, then it goes downhill from there up to and including when Tifa gets ninja raped and cloned after an FF8 intro montage.

Yeah, whatever. Ryu. Monsters. Get someone the fuck on it.

He does show up and proceeds to rape about 300 Kasumi's. I think that counts.

I don't think that's where Dead Fantasy started going downhill.
I wish Monty Oum would go back to doing his original stuff. The John Woo inspired one was neat.

His original stuff? When he was making things ending with Samus and a Spartan falling in love and then everybody starts dancing?

I mean, there's enough blood for him to swim in.
Ninjas get three hundred virgins? Did... did he have to blow himself up first?

No, like Icarus and his Road series. Road lead up to Haloid, and you can really see the progression of his work. Icarus was post Haloid, but is a more visually stylistic approach to his normal shtick.
I watched the two first around the time they were released and thought they were neat. I don't know if my expectations have become higher or something, but I wasn't really impressed by number three.
I think Monty has a pretty good eye for choreography. I specially like that he bothers to synch the music to the action, even if he doesn't use original music.
I heard some rumblings of him wanting to add story to it, which is retarded in my opinion. This is flashy, bad ass fanservice, that's it.
And I saw a cam video of Tifa vs. bunch of ninjas stabbing here everywhere. That was pretty bad ass.
Man what a waste of really good animation and choreogaphy skills. If it was something more original i think i would have been a lot more impressed with it.

Well, he's said before that he isn't a team player. He does things his own way, on his own schedule, and has no interest in changing that. This was all in his "explanation" of Haloid. It's possible he's not a very good writer and/or not a great 3d modeler, but doesn't want anyone else working on his baby.
Was Monty Oum the same guy who did that Halo vs. Tekken video a long time ago? That was cool stuff, though again, borrowing heavily from source material.
I am all for fanservice, which is pretty much what this is. Video Game Girls. But production quality alone? Not good.
The 3D Models look like something out of the latest CG Hentai game (Actually I think Sexy Beach 3 looks better!) Very bland. And while the choreography was ok, it was repetitive. The models floated alot and many hits didn't connect, making them lack impact. Limb movement was stiff.
Worst of all was the environments. I felt like I was watching FF7 or Myst or some shit with those backgrounds.
I suppose one could argue that I could not do better, which is true, but I also don't create a bunch of crap and spread it around the internet while fanboys suck my dick about it.
This reminds me of the flash cartoons of stick people fighting intense battles that seemed to be popular for a while.
I think one of the better known series' was called Xiao Xiao or something like that? Anyway, there are two feelings that come to mind with those stickfights back then, and these fights now.
1. As others have said, this fight should've been over long ago, regardless of which game's health management systems you use.
2. Even if they somehow are still alive an fighting at this point, you find yourself wanting it to end. You want to know who wins already. It's like a baseball game going into the 14th inning, you're sick of waiting for it to be decided.
As a side note, if fable, dio brando, and many other time 'sploiters have taught us anything, it's that slowing down time for everyone but yourself is clearly the way to win. Were I Tifa I would be spamming that shit.

The animation is actually really kickass.
Oh... Aroduc thread.
But they can take a lot of punches/bullets/swrods to the face/stomach/ass.

They showed parts Four and Five at Anime Expo.

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.

Still not worth the entry price of going to an anime con.

I think I need to rethink my chosen occupation.

Nerd.
Also putting "Not the End" at the end of the video sounds really retarded.
Oh well, I'll be waiting for 4/5

Anyway, this one wasn't as good as the last two, and the guy really needs to lay off the DMC music.
Also, whoever told him to start adding dialogue wasn't keeping his best interests in mind.

Materia.
That's part 5. A promo was shown at some anime con a few months back and I think the 'full' version was shown at AX a week or two ago.
Materia. It's from DoA4.
Gumballs, dude. Gumballs.
